All speeding tickets and any other traffic violations are dealt with directly by car hire company as that is where car is registered, not with the individual hiring the car. Have recent experience with this so can confirm. If you pay monthly, fines will be in next month's bill. They should call you to let you know what will be charged to your credit card, but I would give them a call to check.

Am surprised they gave you a ticket - couldn't you talk your way out of it? It's so easy to charm the police into not giving you tickets. :D

You need to go to Bur Dubai Traffic / Licensing place next to Gold and Diamond park in Al barsha, you can pay there. Take your driving licence with you if the policeman didnt look at it at the time! Good luck - Ihad to go a few weeks ago - my fine was 400dhs!

For a rental car, I believe your agency will pay the fine and you will reimburse them. Also my SO has been renting cars for years, and the fine never shows up on the Dubai Police website.

Into 15th day today and not showing - have called and gone on website - put in reg number / traffic ticket number - have checked every method there is to check in cae I've been looking at wrong one and nothing is showing any fine. Have printed off each statement stating no fine to pay as proof. Am loathed to go to police station as have been told they can change their minds according to how they feel on the day !

Thanks for advice both xx No didn't take licence - just wrote details down. It's a hire care so not registered to me. Have tried the website also and put reg number in to see about fines and nothing coming up there either. I know that maybe I should be clapping my hands as everything is telling me there is nothing to pay - but going on how things work here I'm sure I'm not going to be that lucky !! Bump was just that - a bump - no damage apart from slight dent - driver in front pulled out - I looked to my left to also pull out and driver in front decided to stop for no reason !! Fairly new to Dubai so did everything I'd been told to do -called police and gave insurance name number to other driver - also gave him my number. BAD move ! Nice as pie face to face then started a barrage of texts/calls saying the insurance co wouldn't pay to cover damage to his car. He wanted money from me !! Total scammer !! Obviously didn't pay the s**t anything. From comments he had made (saying he had only just got it back from someone else doing same thing) and thinking about it now, I'm sure this is a regular pastime for him.

The pink one is for your insurance company so you can get your car fixed at a garage/dealer. Alot of garages here won't fix your car without it and you can claim through your insurance with the pink page but will have to pay the excess and it will affect your insurance cost next year The white one could be your fine of 200AED which is given as you caused an accident I remember when i got a parking fine which said i had to pay it at the police station within 15 days so i dragged myself down there to be told oh madam you can pay it when you re-register your car!! There is a traffic fine online website here ( Google it Dubai traffic fines ) and if you put your car registration number in it will show you what fines you have etc Hope this helps and that you are okay

Did the police take your driving license? They took mine after a minor bump and one of the pieces of paper was to get my license back. I think I had to pay 200 dhs or something like that to get it back.

Bumped into back of car in front and ended up with a 'Traffic Violation' ticket from police. Had two pieces of paperwork - one pink and one white - each has different reference numbers. Mostly in Arabic so can't understand what we have to do with them ?? Have telephoned the number on back of white copy and followed instructions (which are in English this time) to see what the charge was and it says there is no ticket to pay. Have tried the car reg no and both the ticket numbers ... nothing. Yet it states on the white copy that the fine has to be paid in 15 days !! Anyone had same problem ???
