I dont want to go to the mall; my DD asleep and am preparing food so where in JLT that sells nice yummy desserts (cakes) that can be delivered to my doorstep..or I might be able to pop out and pick one up by walking distance..

TIA

Sorry for late reponse to this thread. Thanks for all the ideas; in the end had a nice creamy desert delivered to me. @ Momoftwins - will keep Berry Meringe handy next time. Looks so easy and yummy too. Thanks! "your welcome to come dine with me" edited by Fr!zzyBusY on 22/11/2011

Is it too cold for an ice-cream cake? Is there a Baskin Robbins nearby?

you could try sugar daddy cupcakes, I know they deliver but might be late notice.

if alcohol is on the menu - whip some cream, dip chocolate chip cookies in cointreau or similar, sandwich with cream to make a 'log'. Cover with cream and grate dark chocolate over to decorate.

Berry meringue! Easy to make. Shopping list: Whipping cream Fresh berries Meringue nests (Bakery section at Spinneys has them) Chocolate bar ( if you have it) Grab some nice tall stemmed glasses Whip some whipping cream (or get them in a can - even though the real stuff is way better!) Add ice cream and take away the chocolate smash it all up and its Eton Mess my fave dessert ever hehe add a dollop of whipped cream at the bottom Add berries Add crushed meringue nests repeat Top layer is whipped cream, shave some chocolate at the top to garnish. Might look something like this http://countdownevents.com/blog/sites/default/files/mmmyum.jpg?1313529202 or this http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pehd7WmC1tA/TWTXPxZqHxI/AAAAAAAAAHA/npDeMGIo6OA/s1600/DSC02753.JPG

You can replace the meringue nests with any sweet plain cookie you probably already have at home......just in case you have the other ingredients already.
