Does anyone have the number of a reliable company that replaces water heaters? Ours has been leaking for a week now and had the building management come and look at it and they said it's broken and it needs to be replaced! He turned all the valves off but he said it could "fall down"....what?! So as you can imagine, I want to get this sorted ASAP!

OMG! That's really steep! I just checked with a friend who had one replaced in her bathroom last year with JWFI and she paid Dhs 1,000. It was an 80 litre one, though. The one I had replaced in the kitchen is a smaller one, so that's probably why it was cheaper. Another option is to buy the water heater yourself directly from a dealer (Yellow Pages should have a list) and have someone install it so all you pay is the hourly charge for the installation. It shouldn't take more than an hour, unless the heater is in a "hard to reach" place. I remember seeing an Ariston 80 liter water heater for Dhs 400 a couple of years ago in one of the shops on Salahuddin street in Deira, where most of the bathroom/kitchen suppliers are. Good luck! Ours is a 100 liter and that price sounds right for one. That's what the guy told me. I was thinking about buying one and having someone install it but then again we need someone reliable to do the job. Thanks a lot for your help! edited by Chi2dxb on 15/07/2013

Just called JWFI and they quoted me at 1500 aed. Seems a little steep when the cost of the water heater is only around 400-500 aed. Anyone else have any recommendations?

Thanks. The guy told me it shouldn't cost more than 700-800 aed so will call JWFI. And sh12, we were the first tenants of the place going on our 4th year now, so that makes me feel a little better.

Jim Will Fix It does this. They replaced my kitchen heater a few months ago. Cost Dhs 700 with the heater, from memory. Their number is 800-FIX.
