yw - we also have cages in the playground where i dump all our plastic bottles and paper (i think they take cardboard as well but we have that collected from outside our house)..

A couple of years ago there was an optician who ran a charity donating used glasses overseas. I think that she was based at the optician at Spinneys Centre on Al Wasl. Don't have any more specific info but if you drop in there they may be able to help.

Hi, I have a few pairs of prescription glasses that my little girl has grown out of, in the UK there are places you can take them to be distributed but I cant find anywhere here that is willing to take them. If need be I will take them to the UK in the summer so I can donate them. xxx
