I have found one small can in 'Life' to the very high price of 81dhs, is it possible to buy any cheaper anywhere?

I bought some last week in park and shop al wasl road, it was on the bottom shelf under the racks with the bags of spices. it comes in a green 100g box labeled Deer Brand, Sat Isabogol and is in powdered form. HTH

I also use it for baking. I buy the 280 oz jar at Life Pharmacy for 97aed. It is the Solgar brand out of the States. Highway robbery I know. :cry:

You can buy Indian Psyllium Husk powder in any Choitrams for AED 5, it's called Isabgol and you'll need to ask for it at the cash register. I think you'll get the same powder as the (much) more expensive products at the pharmacies, as I was just on holiday and ran out of the husk I took with me and bought Solgar brand Psyllium husk for EUR 20 a jar (about AED 100) and its exactly the same stuff! you can get solgar here as well in Life pharmacies. Isabgol was recommended to me by naturopathic doctor here, as she said it is the same psyllium husk powder as the more expensive pharmacy brands. HTH

There's a 300 gram size ground husks make available in Supercare pharmacy and Planet Health nutrition stores, although its marked 'Whole Psyllium Husk' the actual product inside is quite finely ground not whole husks. I find it the best available, costs dhs 65 but it lasts for months you only need a teaspoon daily.

I use only Original Psyllium Husk but never heard if it has some powder. is there any powder also? If you are talking about original You can find it in Indian spice shops for around 8-15 Dhs/pack. depending on brand.
