Dear ladies, could you recommend some furniture shops where they sell affordable furniture for the garden? I have only been at Ace at this point, but want to compare prices with some other shops.

Thanks ladies, I couldnt sign in from my blackberry but this weekend I went to all the addresses mentioned below and a few additional places where they sell the "original" stuff. Exhausting weekend. The original furniture is super expensive but it can withstand temperatures of 80 degrees Celsius + 3 year warranty on any damage, but for the smallest set-up they would charge between 10 and 20.000 aed. That is way out of our budget right now. The Garden Centre furniture can officially only withstand temperatures up to 30 degrees, if it gets hotter then that it might melt or the metal legs will burn your skin. I thought that was a bit scary for the rattan furniture, they said its better to put it inside or cover it completely when its hot. I asked if placed under a Gazebo would it still get damaged and they were not able to answer me. We did order a Gazebo from Garden Centre and then saw the exact same one in Dragon Mart for half the price. :-( In Dragon Mart they claim that their rattan furniture will hold up for about 3 years at temperatures of 50 degrees Celsius and after then we can replace the rattan for about half the price of the furniture (about 1500aed) and than it will last another 2 to 3 years. I still have to check the Home Centre and Homes R Us selection. Missmatch69 could you please send me an sms and I will give you a call back on my nr edited by KenzaB on 03/08/2013 edited by KenzaB on 07/08/2013

I got a nice table, two benches, two chairs and a beverage cart at Homes R Us for around 2500 during their sale. Regular priced is probably not much more. Good luck!

My outdoor dragon mart plastic-rattan sofa is over 4 years old and not a sign of detoriation. My outdoor dining set is from garden center, was expensive but I loved it, was very unhappy to realize after a few months that it is not from teak but from some cheap white wood, painted. It is only 1.5 years old but looks worn out, even if I treated it with recommended outdoor polish. edited by dentro on 03/08/2013
