That is a shame, I go to this place all the time and I think they have the best croissants and baguettes in Dubai. Their cakes I have found to be excellent as well and the Millefeuille is heavenly. I don't know what to say... if you think this is the best, you probably have not tried any other place... there are good ones definitely in Dubai! Different bakers maybe ??? Not sure, I thought the guy who did the baking was french, but haven't seen him around for a long time. Emlsnre, I haven't seen any French baker there anytime... there are only some Indian men and Fillipinos... It is not about the race, they could be qualified bakers but the point is there is nothing 'French' about this bakery... My bad day...anyway, wud never bother to even look to this bakery anymore!

I went there when they first opened and bought a mixture of pastries/cakes and a baguette. I ate half a croissant on my way home, and then pulled over to inspect it. It was BITTER, like really really bitter...I was gagging. The bread was awful, and everything ended up being binned. A friend who came with me also said the same about her bread. I keep on hearing conflicting reports, so maybe they have the occasional good or bad day. I go to France every year, and this is nothing like what I am used to.

When asked to fix it they put it in a take away cup and gave us more milk which promptly led to me demanding they remake it only this time using Illy coffee. LOL ! take away cup... So very French! NOT. I hate all the bakeries here. I long for my local in Divonne les Bains edited by derien on 23/10/2011

We used to get a Friday morning delivery, the first few were amazing, really fresh and scrummy. However, they then delivered a batch of very stale bread and croissants. I emailed them twice explaining the disappointment but never got a response.. Shame, when they are good they are really good...

We stopped by the other morning after Kidville and was really disappointed by the service. The coffee was rank, way too strong and defo not Illy as advertised. When asked to fix it they put it in a take away cup and gave us more milk which promptly led to me demanding they remake it only this time using Illy coffee. The bread was so hard it was not even fit for consumption. The place was busy and we did have to wait but not worth the bother.

I went to this bakery with my toddler son this morning and upon entering, i could not see anyone around or even attend to our request... We waited for about 5-10 mins but still no response... then I had to shout to call people to attend to our order... Finally, the sales girl came over and didn't greet us or even smile... I ordered a pastry for my son and since he was unable to eat with the BIG fork and Knife, I asked the girl if she has a spoon... the lady was quite rude and said she does not have anything like that and jumped across to the ice-cream counter and got us an ice-cream spoon...LOL BTW the cake was disgusting! I could make better ones at home myself...it was hard crusted one with a very cold frosting... I could have got better ones at spinneys... (I don't understand why they say authentic french taste!!!haha) 18 dhs for a horrible piece of cake... It was not over here... we had to even wait for the bill... The lady pretended she was very busy serving other customers and didn't bother to get my bill... Well, it was very clear they have no interest in customers being satisfied or coming back... their service and taste proves it all!
