Hi Everyone! I am also expecting a baby in December 2014 (15th to be precise!) and would love to meet with you to share the experience. This is my first pregnancy and its all very daunting, exciting and scary in equal measure! Regarding antenatal classes, I just started with Cecile yesterday and highly recommend this. :) Ruby xx

Hello Dec Mums! - I'm the Jan Mum that was at Mercato on Tues. So nice to meet some of you, shame others couldn't make it.. I will definitely be at Cafe Nero tomorrow. :) PS I had a free trial prenatal yoga class at GFX Bay Avenue this morning and really liked it. It's AED600 for 10 classes or AED1000 for 20. Is that good value?? PPS I LOVE chocolate - doing my best not to indulge too often though!

That's great. I will look into the prenatal classes asap. I'm planning to go to the coffee on Tue morning. Hello! I went to the antenatal class in city hospital as we are planning to deliver there. The class is really good hey really take their time to explain each method of pain treatment. I am also a new mum to be and I’m really keen to meet other ladies. We've decided to go wt City Hospital for child birth. A colleague recommended it to my husband. I'm 25 weeks now. I would like to join the antenatal Classes soon. Is anyone going to join this classes soon ? Either at the City hospital for those giving birth there or at any other private facility ? I would love to meet with someone and maybe join a class together. I'm around the Springs area. Last night I already started panicking about the labour pain. Does anyone think of this ? I should of have joined the coffee this morning, I've never been to one and I'm sure it's nice, plus it helps to meet with other ladies have a talk, socialize and get out of the daily routine. Hi Ladies I'm also keen to meet up as it would be nice to meet other mums to be around the same stage of pregnancy, I'm 24 weeks now, due on Boxing Day :) bbarmani I didn't go to the motor city class in the end but I did the sat morn one at the star int school, it was a nice small class. I actually haven't been back as been busy with summer holidays but will meet you there if you like. I am also on the springs. Where is Star Int School Located ? If it's not too far I'd be interested. I'm planning to attend to the coffee on Tue morning. It will be my first time attending. Excited to meet other ladies and the blessed moms to be. I'm interested in joining a prenatal workout class and or a prenatal yoga as well. I've never done yoga before, but I've read how much it helps with breathing during labour. If anyone has recommendations or would like to join as well. Let me know.

So nice to hear other ladies in the same boat. I'm due Christmas Eve :) Andreag the Tuesday coffee at Mercato is 10am-12pm, the venue was Italianissimo but may change to Milk&Honey (it's a small mall anyway). I too am in the XS weight gain group :( (over 10kg), trying to convince myself it's because I was slim to begin with lol

I did antenatal classes with Cecile DeScally last time round. The really great thing about that was that she did a home visit after the baby was born as part of the package. Very helpful when you are overwhelmed and have no idea what you are doing. Re weight gain, i am jealous of all of you who have barely gained a thing. I am up 9kgs and feel like a real whale. Where and what time is the meetup on Tuesday in Mercato? I will stick it in the diary so i don't forget.

Hi everyone:) I heard the Al Zahra antenatal class is good... Has anyone been? Another option I'm thinking about is Cooper Clinic but may try al Zahra first. As for weight gain I'm 23wks and have already gained 7kg!!

Hi Dec mummies, Yes I went to the coffee morning at Mercato today and REALLY enjoyed it. There were only 6 of us but there's usually more, as it's only the first week it's started up again and some lucky folk are still away. The host was totally lovely and all the ladies were friendly and chatty. Can't wait for next week.... Wow only 3lb at 23 weeks? I'm envious! I'm gaining weight every hour it seems, and am hungry all the time. Thank goodness the Harmony test can't back all clear & I'm feeling her movements at last :) I'm looking into some antenatal classes at the moment, most likely will go to Cooper Clinic... Has anyone heard any feedback? It's a 1 day course on 1st Saturday of every month from 10am-5pm, 2000dhs per couple. The other option is Birthzone.ae, going to call them tomorrow for info.

Hi I am expecting my second little bundle of joy in December and am mother to a 15 month old. If anyone is in the same boat would love to meet up and discuss how the **** we are going to manage two little ones :) Hi Debz31. Snap. My monkey is also 15 months old and the next one is coming start of December. God knows how we'll cope. Also hurrah for nursery starting next week! Is your baby going to nursery or are you entertaining him/her full time yourself? Britgirldubai, did you make it there today? How was it? If all goes well with settling in to nursery I should be able to make it next Tuesday morning if anyone is interested in meeting up (assuming it is on every week)?

Hellooo mommies-to-be and mommies, Been a while since I posted as well.. I too have my 20 week scan next week. Looking forward to it and praying that all would be fine. Unlike Britgirldubai , I haven't gain any weight :S When checked strat of 4th month, the doctor said i should start gaining 1/2 kg/ week ideally. But I havent ever since. I try taking more milk, eggs, nuts etc as adviced by the doctor..but i guess i need to do more.. But the scans show the baby is doing fine and has been growing well. Starting to worry now. My DH says I may not be eating enough. Will check wiht the doctor again during my next visit and see what she has to say. Oh BTW, I have strated feeling the movements...I used to wonder what bubbles breaking meant when I was reading about it..but now I can clearly feel it...and it feels great :) My doctor said that the healthy weight is 20 pounds total starting from the 20 week on. I have also not gain much weight. I'm 25 weeks now, but up to the 23 week I had gained 3 pounds. My doctor said it was fine. As long as I'm eating my 3 meals and snacks in between. I do not get much hungry though, but I eat something every 3-4 hours. My hemoglobin was low so that might be a reason why I haven't been getting hungry. I just started the iron the doctor prescribed and eating lentils.

Hi Britgirldubai, I am also concerned about how much weight I am putting on. I am going to try out the urban energy pregnancy class tonight at motor city, I need to get moving. Did you try that pregnancy class at Motor City ? If so, let us know how it went. It's not far from me so I might consider joining. I'm due on Dec 15 :-) <em>edited by bbarmani on 01/09/2014</em>
