Forever21, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. May your little precious angel rest in peace. Well done for being such a brave mommy and for doing all you could do. Take it easy and don't be hard on yourself. Letting DS1 get away with a little more then usual righ now really doesn't matter. When things are more settled she will fall back into her old ways, don't stress. Huge cyber hugs xxx

Be kind to yourself forever21. You did all you could, it was just not her time and she is safe in your heart, the tears are a benediction, let them flow. Wishing you and your family strength today and in the days to come. I’m still in my PJ’s!! Nothing wrong with spending Friday in PJs.

I'm so very sorry for your loss forever21. Having suffered a similar fate last year (my baby was SB at 39wks) I know that you will be going through such a huge range of emotions right now and my advice would be to take things at your own pace, feel what you need to feel. Your little one will be so very proud of how you are handling things, my thoughts are with you. x

I'm so sorry to hear that, Forever21, but you're right, if there could be anything to mitigate the whole situation, it's the fact she went peacefully and in her own time. May she rest in peace (as I'm sure she will) and I hope that you and your family remain strong. My condolences go out to you. Here, have a hug!.

Thank you all so musch for your well wishes. Finally came back home after being cut off fro the rest of the wold......faulty laptop So, Sunday morning my stitch was removed and I dilated 2cm but I had some severe bacterial infection so bub was not coping at all. 6:30 am she was born via a very traumatic c-sec, Dr tried spinal but cud nut get an spinal fluid out of me for abt 5 tries so I was put under general. The rest of the morning nd afternoon were very stressfull but DH nd DD were there with me-they were allowed to sleep in the bed next to me from the around 1am Sunday morning till yesterday. Bub weighed just 750grms nd her lungs were still not strong enough even after the steriod injections which are more more effective after 24 hr....she did not have that time...hence she had to come out after showing servere sings of distress. Later that Sunday the Noenataligist came nd laid it on the table for us.......She was suffering, her Sacturation was only 50% or under-depriving her organs of oxygen, she had bleed through her umbilical cord nd was receiving donor blood, was also fighting the same bacterial infection that had caused my contractions but with her immune system....did not stand a chance with all the antibiotics they pumped in to her tiny body. Short story....SHE WAS FIGHTING A LOOSING BATTLE. We had to decide if we keep her on the machines or we let her go peacefully. Never an easy decision but later Sunday night she gave up on her own without us having to make it for her. Brave of her and somehow I'm at peace with the fact that I did not unplug her but she was just too tired of fighting a loosing battle. May her brave little soul rest in peace!

I hope everything is ok! If they get to early enough they can give you some drugs to try to slow the labour and steroids to try to strengthen the babies lungs. My DD was born at 28 weeks, underweight for her gestation, with some medical issues. But happy to say she is 18 in a few months and has no really bad lasting effects. In 18 years I am sure medicine has come along way and your baby will have the best care available. Premmies can be stressful with lots of highs and lows. My thoughts are with you. Take care

Fingers crossed for you! It's a good thing if your waters haven't broken, because they can chemically stop your contractions, but once the waters have broken, bubs needs to be out within 48h. They'll probably start you on steroids to help develop bubs' lungs just in case. My waters broke at the start of labour 1st time around, and then on the second to last push in my 2nd, so you just never can tell.

Thanx LD and DM!! Starting to beat myself up over not taking the Magnesium supplement which is meant to relax the uterus. He prescribed 500mg twice a day and i already have 150mg on my Pregnacare so I thought to finish those first (only 2left now) then start the Pregnaplus which has no Magnesuim in the fear of toxicity! This was on the 9th then on the 11th I had a huge blob of slimy discharge come out.....really looked like the mucus plug to me......went to him and he deemed it a fungal infection then prescribed Canisten va6inal tablets for 6 days. Now a pink slimy discharge......will I ever catch a break... edited by forever 21 on 15/01/2011

Forever21, my thoughts are with you. If it's contractions you're feeling and your waters have not broken the doctors will probably give you something to stop the contractions.
