Thanks ladies, I will go for my first scan on 4th I need so many prayers as I have on and off spotting. Forty-wink @ are you having any nausea if yes when did this started n did u hear the heartbeat yet. Hi again Zeynab. Fortunately though, I'm going to be 8 weeks next week and so far, no nausea or dizziness. We've been to a doctor once but we didnt do an ultrasound. I have scheduled an appointment with Dr Nasreen at AH so will only get news by then. I'm really excited and cant wait to hear the baby's heartbeat so maybe we might go one day to another clinic to get an ultrasound earlier. Hope you're getting enough rest.

Government hospitals are cheapest I think you need a health card.. I heard they have so much experience.. both al Wasel and Dubai hospital.. best is to call and ask about procedures and fees.

Hi Zeynab. I also dont have insurance and currently 7 weeks pregnant. DH called ADNIC to find out if we can get insurance. However, we were informed that they now have waiting period of 10 months. They changed their policy this year. So, unfortunately, we can not have insurance. We might get an appointment with American Hospital or City as their packages are very similar. Antenatal will be around 5500-6000 and Normal Delivery is around 11500-12000 for the package. Note that they dont include Epidural and other things but mostly everything will be covered. If you are high risk, you may also want to check out Al Wasl or Dubai Hospital for delivery as I'm sure they work out less expensive than the private ones and has the most advanced NICU in Dubai (pls correct me if I'm wrong). Good luck on your pregnancy.

Hi Zaynab are you pregnant at the moment? Adnic accepts people who are already pregnant, it's a very high premium so you'd ave to do your sums and see if it's worth buying the policy, just thought I'd let you know about that option. Btw we were in contact a while ago about the ovulation kits.. I hope your post means you have good news Inshallah.

Hi Zeynab, not sure regarding the insurance side of things. I am having my baby at City Hospital and they do a package which includes everything from 12 weeks until time to give birth (though not the actual birth). I think it is around AED 5,500. I would check around at various hospitals and see what works for you. I also have no insurance which sucks!!!!

I'm no expert, but as I know when taking a personal plan out you may have a 90 / 180 day clause to say pregnancy isn't covered.
