noon time, i was driving on the emirates road "me, DH and the 2 babies", we were going to enjoy DH's weekend ... we were driving on the 4th lane 100 km/hr thanks god... when a pickup truck coming from nowhere, really speeding decided to hit our left side, beside the back seat directly, our car is a 4wheel pajero it is strong but because of the speed and the hit, it moved out of the lane and another pickup truck holding a car hit our right side !!!!
i don't know what happened after that... but when the car stopped, we were still alive... the kids were buckled up in the back "completely safe" me and DH were ok, but the poor car needs a lot of work.
the left pick up truck driver was subjected to pay fines. but what *** 4 people's lives were threatened, 2 are babies less than 3yrs. that truck was on the fast lane driving really fast "isn't that illegal??" and shouldn't he be treated as a killing machine!!!! God what a day ...

amalzd, i am shaking for you! totally, if my baby and i were ever in an accident i swear i would turn into the hulk(ette) and go crazy, at least thats what i am imagining. i just dont know what i would do, good for you for staying strong! i was in a serious car accident in 200f in ca, a little city street, n one was speeding, the guy just ran a light and my car was soo top heavy it rolled over... funny thing, i think god or an angel talked to me right before it happened. Honest to god, i was pulling out of the gas station, and got to the stop light, didnt have my seat belt on, and instantly over my loud music, i felt this impulse to buckle my seat belt, the impulse was to strong, i could hear it like a whisper in my hear and feel it like warmth over my body, the i made a turn and that next intersection i was flipping over 4 X in my suv.. i had been scalped, and they even tried to amputate my leg... i know if i didnt have my seatbelt on i would have died... such a crazy experience. but i still drove after that, actually i moved to colorado when i was totally recovered about a year later, i drove all the way there and even through the occasional black ice, and snow... but funny how driving here gives me the heebeejeebees's i wish i did sometimes cause there is so much freedom taken away now that i don't drive.... i am proud of you for being strong, if my baby was involved i just dont know what i would do... WOOW ... what an experience!!! it is a miracle that you survived such an accident. i believe you when you talk about that weird feeling, because before moving from home, my little girl wanted to be carried, she was struggling the seatbelt, but for a second i strongly felt that she should stay there, and there what happened!!! sometimes we feel like blessed or protected. as for yesterday, all what i thought of when i stopped the car is to check the babies health, they were both fine, i was scared but just couldn't do anything but thank the power that saved us. few hours ago, i started wishing i was a law person or at least know the maximum thing i can do to protect my babies and any other little baby over the road :( ... but what i know :S . thanks for your feelings and for sharing your story, thanks god you didn't have any baby in that car

wow! so scary, sooooo sorry to hear this, this is why i don't drive here... i would have had a nervous break down... these speedy, reckless, drivers are so selfish and should be totally ashamed, i wish the laws were a little more strict for scenarios like this. yesterday was a long action movie !!!! i wish the law be more strict too. if we were all dead or severely injured that reckless driver would've been punished or something. what if our car wasn't so strong, or wasn't even big!!! i drive since forever, what if it was an unexperienced driver!!! it is lives over there... and because he decided to break the law and got scared my LO 's lives were threatened !!!

thank you ladies for your support ... we are very grateful that nothing happened to the kids ... the nice thing that happened after the accident is that i didn't have to fight with my 2.5 yrs boy to wear the seatbelt ... ;) he got too scared and the whole way back he kept checking if the belt was buckled up properly :) poor little guy to be such afraid .... hate trucks

You poor thing, what a terrible thing to experience :( I simply hate the trucks on that road! Sometimes you feel like you are getting sandwiched between 2 trucks, going at crazy speeds, and you cant get away fast enough! Thank the Lord you are all safe xxx

Oh my god. Thank god you're all okay. Please remember, and this is for everyone, that most carseats need to be replaced after a car accident.

Thank God your family are safe and that you have good sense to buckle your babies in, sadly could have been a different story for those who choose not to. What a terribly scary experience for you, sending you a huge hug xx
