Sorry, I'm not sure where Springs 5 & 6 are. But you know the wide road where all the roadworks are? You go to the roundabout at the top, which is next to Jumeirah Islands, and you will see an exit...
Hello. For the years you lived close to Springs, do you know how loud is the mosque opposite to Springs 6?

If you're coming from Tecom then you'd normally turn right at the roundabout by the bridge, so the mosque near Choithrams that you mentioned would then be a little further up on your left. Carry on past this mosque on your left, past Springs 6 on your right, all the way up the road, until you come to the big roundabout with Spinneys/mosque/shopping centre on your right-hand side. You then have to turn right at this roundabout and the entrance to the mosque/car park is almost immediately on your right-hand side. The other mosque is further up by little Spinneys. To get there, instead of turning right into the big Spinneys car park, simply carry on straight up this road. Go through (I think) two roundabouts and you'll see another mosque/car park/shopping centre a little further up on your right-hand side. So, clearly I'm not good at directions but hope that helps :)

There are three mosques in the Springs/Meadows development and I think two of the three do the sermon in English. I've heard it in English at the big Spinneys one - the one next to Dubai British School - and the one at small Spinneys, next to EIS, definitely does it in English. Both are usually packed to the rafters on a Friday so get there early to get a parking space!

LOL, give me another month and I could tell you - by then it will be my "hood" - but right now, alas, I have no idea :-(. It's just that I drove up and down that road a stupid number of times last week looking for villas. Now I'm back in Australia... It's a beautiful mosque. Actually, all the mosques are beautiful. Hopefully someone else might be able to step up to whether the sermons are in English or not... Good luck.

Ahhh, Thanks for the may BMAP! :) We're looking for the one where the Jummah sermon is in English. Is this the one?? Hubby went to the one by Choithrams the other week thinking the sermon there was in English too but it was in Arabic, so still on the look out! :)

There is a mosque near the Spinneys which is next to Dubai British School isn't there? Could that be the one you are thinking of? I know there is a big Spinneys in that shopping centre, so I'm assuming that's the one. ABC is right...it's on the western side of the development between what was previously known as Springs 6 but now Springs 3 and Jumeirah Islands. If you are on Meadows Drive between the Islands and the Springs, you can't miss it. Here is a map of the development: http://www.emaar.com/home_finder/pdf/emmar_mapA4.pdf And if I recall correctly, you will find the mosque in that area where the big white building is under the line to Springs 3. Hope I'm right. Someone please correct me if not. :-/

Thanks guys! Still not too sure tho - sorry, I'm so rubbish with directions! I have no sense of direction at all! :( We'd be coming in from Tecom and usually enter the springs by the little shopping center with Choithrams. Which springs number is it near to?

Depends which direction you are coming from...If you are coming from Al Khail road, turn into the springs, keep going straight all the way to the end, take a right, and its there infront of you. If your coming from SZR, enter emirates hills, take a right at the round about with the fountains, keep going straight untill you see the mosque on your left. Its very easy, especially on a friday where you will see so many cars parked outside that you cant miss it. HTH
