I have at home Small Portable Humidifier which i purchased from http://www.vackerglobal.com. I would say it is the best humidifier for home. In Dubai when Humidity is lower the limit, you need a Home Humidifier. Have a look here http://www.vackerglobal.com/division/dehumidifier-humidifier/

granola I got it, the red one. its amazing, from day one my son slept through the night which means I slept through the night and I haven't had a full night sleep since I was 7 months pregnant *_* thanks soo much, I'm soo greatfull to u. it was quite pricey indeed though but totally worth it Sue R sorry I had bought this one that very same night as I was desperate but thanks for the offer Emily.... Back home we also have very good ones and much cheaper but the thing is that purifier and humidifier in one is here not that common which I think its weird as I think this is one country where u should not live without one

I have a Novita NH900 humidifier which is virtually brand new which I'm putting in classifieds, if you're interested. Originally from Sharaf DG.

It's both. It is pretty big, but I think it works really well. I got the small one for the kids room and I change the tank every day in this season. I have the big one in my room and I fill it every other day. It really made a difference for us.

DG Sharaf (oasis) is the only place I have found humidifiers in Dubai. The brand is sharp and I thought they were super expensive but I was desperate with pregnancy, toddler and all the AC air. The first night was bliss! She didn't wake at all. I went back the next day and bought one for my room! I really wouldn't go back now. Also, I had one from the chemist and a smaller unit as well, but nothing helped but the sharp.

Not at the mo will look later tonight.u could put sticky tape over the light as we did as it annoyed my dh... Just pop in there and ask for a cool mist spray as u get dry air in your bedrooms, it's the only place i found one after searching high and low ....

I had the same problems did my 2 yr old ... After lots of research I got a cool mist spray it puts moisture into the air , and ever since my mouth isn't at all dry and my little one just sips half a bottle I'n the night if she's thirsty. I got it from a Chemist on the ground floor I'n oasis mall around 200 dhs... Just fill with water and plug it I'n and it sprays all night and gives off a nice night light for your little one.

Hi...I am just back from our local Pharmacy where I asked about an air purifier they had on display...Its called Air- Free...it was about 1,200AED... I dont think its a humidifier tho...its just a white casing with a green plastic part on top. Dont think it has any funky cloured bits or oils tho... The leaflet says they do a baby one,,,stocked by Babyshop called BabyAir. Their website address is www.airfree.ae...not sure if its any good...havent checked the site... HTH

I would like to add that "a whole liter of water" is maybe a bit too much for a child? Ladies correct me if I'm wrong, but it might be a good idea to check him for diabetes, as drinking a lot of water is one of the symptoms......( as well as frequent urination).... http://www.diabetessymptomsonline.com/symptoms-of-juvenile-diabetes.htm edited by MomOfTwins on 28/07/2011

I don't know if it's exactly what you're looking for, or how good they are for that matter but I've seen some humidifiers in Boots in the Marina Mall...can't even tell you how much they are! Sorry! Hope it helps the 'swimming pool' problem! :)
