i'm a makeup artist and would highly recommend Lucidity from Estee Lauder. Great coverage but not quite as heavy as Double Wear. Mac Studio Fix powder is also great - provides good coverage on its own for use in the day :-)

YSL Perfect Touch without a doubt. Gives me great coverage without being too heavy. Also uses a similar brush to the Touche Eclat (but bigger) so easy to apply with no mess.

bobby brown, korres, and alison raffaele (makeup etc) - i am a makeup artist and use bobby brown a lot on sets, but found alison raffaele, to be very wonderful, light, and perfect for sensitive skin, plus it is organic. and i found once i started using natural and organic makeup on my own skin my whole face changed for the better. i do use bb concealer though, and haven't found any i like more. edited by julzandrews on 04/08/2011

I use Clinique Superbalanced liquid foundation... It's really fabulous.. I recommended it to two or three people and they are also happy with it :) edited by n_b18 on 02/08/2011

I love the Clinique Minerals - it's a powder too but gives a good cover that seems to last pretty well in the heat.

I love Bobbi Brown foundation. Out of every brand that I have tried (Dior, Chanel, Make-up-forever, etc) they have the best range of the most natural colours. HTH edited by 4sidekicks on 02/08/2011

I love Estee Lauder double wear too, but lately have discovered the mineral foundation powders. I apply primer / illuminator and then brush the mineral powder over and the finish is great. Very quick and easy.

Have been using Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation for quite a while now and am very satisfied with the natural and smooth look it gives. It comes in quite a number of shades.

Hi, I am quite dark skinned myself and the foundation i SWEAR by is No.7 Intelligent colour, it's available in 3 shades but it adjusts to your own skin colour. It is amazing! The texture of the liquid is mousse like and creates a velvety finish. It feels so light on your skin. The best thing of all is its easy to find and reasonable in price. I wear foundation everyday and the tube lasts me 6 months as a little goes a long way. I love it!

You could use the Benefit Porefessional for your open pores. (Then you can use medium coverage foundation over it).
