I'm keen to try my LO on weetabix this w/end. Do I just soften with milk i.e. I don't sweeten with anything?

I feed my little one weetabix or ready brek morning and night. It’s the only way I have found to keep her full and help her sleep through. Before I fed it her at night she was waking because she was hungry. Shes now14 months old and she sleeps brilliantly.

Are you feeding weetabix at night as well or only for breakfast? Need something to keep my LO filled up for the night ;)

Same as Fairycake, place weetabix and milk in micro for 20 seconds, perfect. Little one loves it.

watch out for the sugar content in commercial cereals - some can be quite surprising! I always used to give mine home-made porridge, just made with rolled oats and milk - if you get Quaker oats or similar, they are rolled really finely (too finely for my liking, but perfect for babies!) and have no additives in them... and it's made in about 2 minutes!

You can use cow milk in cereals & food at the age of 6+ months. I gave DS cow milk with weetabix at 6.5 months with banana mash.

I always mashed banana in it with formula early on and later milk.

i just add some milk on it and stick in the microwave so it warms up and the weetabix goes all soft.

You could try mixing it with breastmilk if you're still bf-ing or make up a little bit of formula and mix it with that.

I started then with Warm water instead of milk (he was under 1) and crumbled it up before hand so it all went a bit soggy. Sometimes added yoghurt or fruity baby food. Now make it with milk and nothing to sweeten
