Do any of you ladies know a good place for my husband to go and get a good back massage?? Heard so many stories of massage places being what do you say... a bit dodgy. He is in desperate need of a professional place. Any ideas?? Thanks!!

My DH goes to Feet First in Town Centre on Beach Rd, and he's quite nervous about "dodgy men", so it must be fine. I've also sent him to Gentlemen's Spa on Beach Rd for a facial, after reading good reviews of it on EW. He liked it.

Man/Age is also good, that's where my ex used to go. Charges 320 an hour I think, located in JBR but they also have a branch in DMC. Signature Lounge in Media City is also quite good.

If you do not want an upmarket place then the best basic place I know is the Thai massage therapy centre on SZR, next to the Dusit Hotel and behind the Sketchers shop. Tiny place, clean but basic but absolutely the best Thai massage you will have outside of thailand, also quite cheap. The masseuse is a man.

The Entertainer Body has an offer on till the end of Nov - 2 for 1 on an Ansagna Spa "Serenity Package", which is an hours ful body massage and and hours facial. 750 total. We went at the weekend and it was wonderful, if you fancy a his & hers treat.

Feet First IBN Battuta or Town Centre Jumeirah. A number of my colleagues go there who don't want the 5 star spa experience. The town centre has a men's bit I believe

1847 is an upmarket men only spa in Emirates towers and also the Grovsner house hotel. The Sensasia spa on the Palm also caters for men, as does the Park Hyatt Hotel I know men who have used these places rate them highly. Basically any of the more upmarket 5 * hotels usually offer decent spa facilities for men that offer massages. edited by Genie on 20/11/2011
