SIL suggested a little toy camera since everyone else will take pics of the baby your toddler can have fun doing the same Happy shopping :) edited by pancakemum on 14/03/2012 Like this PCM. I gave him one of our old almost had it cameras but might charge it up for him for taking photos of his little bro!

Thx all. Think we have decided to go with the elc car garage, I took him to buy a present for a friends birthday party (that we my not make it to depending on when DS2 decides he's going to enter) and DS1 sat for half hour in the shop playing with the car and the garage, couldn't get him to leave, time outs for not listening to mummy didn't even work (usually I just have to threaten time out and he listens) ... So the garage may be the winner :)

age gap between my 2 DS is 20 months, we got DS1 a Thomas wooden train set, he loved it. good thing is that you can then add on track, carriages etc at a later date..... just as an addition, its hard work at the beginning, but now its the best thing as they are little monkeys together!!! DS2 will be 2 on may 1...time flies!!! good luck with it all!

this is the age where my two boys have started to get into lego (duplo). It is so good for them too.

Thx all. We have a ride on motorcycle which is a huge hit. DS even gets his bike "helmet that he has for when daddy takes him for rides on the big bicycle" and puts that on before getting on his little push around motorcycle, so funny. Laptop suggestion a goodie, might work too coz DH and I have tablets with games on them and he loves playing with them or trying to use the actual laptop when we aren't looking! Cars... Yes DS is quite keen on cars he got one off the shelf (matchbox like size) at the petrol station the other day as I was getting money out, he took the car up to the lady at the counter and waited for me to go pay for it! Lol. He has seen those bouncy things in kidville before and is very interested in them...could also be a good idea. Now I just have to haul my 37 week a** shopping :)

'My own laptop' from leapfrog? Would keep DS1 busy, and you can personalize it with your child's name, and have DS2 send an "email" :)

DS will be 2 when DD arrives and I want to make sure I get an important present 'from baby'. What is on my list now: - a bike or scooter ( if you think he is ready to try any of this may be the right time to get it); DS is ready for a big boy bike - anything related to his favourite character: big toy, stickers to put tem up on the wall in his room, books - a little garage with cars; DS is obsessed with cars and it's quite common at their age; I saw a little cute one in Borders marina mall from Little People; they always have toys that all children love to play with. Whatever you have in mind for him for his 2nd birthday may be worth getting it now as a present from his brother; for the birthday he will get enough presents anyway. Can't wait to hear what other ladies bought. Hope you find the perfect present :) edited by pancakemum on 13/03/2012

We got our 19m old dd her first kiddie laptop when her brother was born. She loved playing with it while sitting next to me on the hospital bed or at home while we spent many hours on the couch while I was bf!!
