Reasonably priced - nothing too extravagant?

Thank you!

Bice on the first floor of Souq Al Bahar (Italian cuisine); main restaurant in the Armani Hotel; Cafe Madeleine (first floor in Dubai Mall).

LIL when Armani first opened you needed a reservation but not sure what policy is now. We booked anyway as we wanted to try out the Italian restaurant (excellent food!) and there is a small balcony there to watch the water show. There is also a Japanese restaurant downstairs that had lots of al fresco seating and you can have a drink and watch from there.

I agree Mango Tree if fantastic and the view from the terrace is amazing, definitely recommend making a reservation early as they seem to get booked up quickly or go during lunch when it’s not nearly as busy I took my boys the other day for lunch and the fountain was great to watch even in the middle of the afternoon!

The more reasonably priced restaurants are more on the side of Dubai Mall. Try out Madeleine's, its a cafe and boulangerie and since its one level up and has an open terrace that overlooks the fountains you get a very nice view. Checkout their website for more info (menu, etc): http://www.madeleinecafe.com/

Fridays has a lovely terrace to see the show from a different angle, very reasonable too. It is the Dubai Mall side, so no alcohol though;)

Margaux is our favourite and never had a problem getting an outside table - even without booking.

Dragon, I havent been to the Armani hotel yet. Do you need a reservation to get in (like Burj Al Arab) or can you just go in for a wander?

Go to Mango Tree. Great food. Lovely atmosphere. Would NOT recommend Carluccio's, last two meals have been disasters :\:

If you want alcohol I think you will have to go to one of the restaurants on the Souk Al Baha side. So Mango Tree or Rivington Grill etc.. I went to Meat Co recently but would not recommend it.

any of the ones on the ground floor of dubai mall facing the fountains are ok...carluccio's is my fave but there are loads of other choices with good views... if you've got a bit more budget, rivington grill and mango tree in souk al bahar have excellent food and fab views.. xx
