Hi,

We need a 2 bedroom unfurnished apartment for about 6 months before we leave the country. Our current landlord doesnt want to rent for short term. Any suggestions would be great or if anyone has a place that they can rent out would be appreciated. I need the rent to be less then 9000 a month : )

TIA

We could have gotten out of it had my husband not procrastinated. The owner has listed the villa with several agents and there are 3 people who want it. Now its just a matter if setting a move out date.

We may be vacating our villa in the Ranches. Our LL may ask us to find a new tenant as our lease is valid until Aug. The last half of our rent was cashed today. My dh needs to speak to the LL about how it will work as he has been un-employed for 4 months now. The villa is up for sale, so short term will not be an issue with the LL. edited by bornconfused on 13/02/2011 If you loose your job you are allowed to give 90 days notice (check your Tenancy Contract it should have it in the main contract or in the Addendum ...)... you may have a 1 month penalty to pay but as long as you/LL can find another tenant you may asked to be released from your contract and get the remainder of your rental reembursed ...

Hi. We may have to leave our 2 bed in Palmera Ranches before our contract expires 1st October. Is monthly cheques. We will have to speak to the landlord to see if he will take 9000AEd per month as we pay 10,000.

Sorry Browneye, our landlord does not want a short term rental. He fears that someone who isn't commited to at least a year will trash the villa and he doesn't want that. So if anyone wants a 3 bedroom villa for at least a year, let me know. It is up for sale so not sure what the new owners would want to do with it. (it has been up for a year now and only 1 person has viewed it).

Browneye, I know someone who has a 2 bed in Sports City available for rent. She only asked me on Friday if I knew anyone who was interested. I do know that it is partly furnished. I'm happy to pass their phone number on to you so you can contact them direct yourself. Another alternatively is to move into one of those serviced apartments but you will have to put your things into storage.

You can always take out a year contract, but ensure that there is the RERA 2 months break clause, which is what we have done, just incase, and then you can offer two months notice and not have to worry about trying to find a 6 months contract - as I am not sure they exist. Otherwise like madolecow says - they are a number of fully furnished apartments for rent, esp in Marina and JLT edited by yebo on 13/02/2011
