Congratulations! Well our little menace was due 23rd but it looks like she may end up a May baby, she's showing no sign of budging, so I will be induced next week!

Almost 32 weeks, can't believe how quickly it has gone! Just back from the UK, and hauled my 35kgs of baby shopping goodies back with me. Think I have managed to buy all of the essentials (and more!!) How is everyone getting on now were into the home straight? I have been told baby is a 'good size', which of course is good as she is growing well but its a bit scary on my part as I am going for as natural a birth as possible! Got to see her face on the 4D scan at 30 weeks, and she is totally a mini daddy!

Hiya Ladies, Not been on this for a while as my DD and I have been so poorly, the weather got the better of us this time round. This pregnancy is totally different than my first. The baby seems to love it when i eat to and always kicks around loads after an good meal, with my fist i use to throw up whenever i ate meat so became veg for three months. I totally understand what you mean about the weight BellaUK, i feel comfortable now but it caught up with me in the last two months last time and then i remember feeling like a saggy balloon after birth. I really hope i don't feel like that again this time. Was wondering if anyone has had a growth scan yet? I never had one with my first as i went back to the UK and i don't think it was even discussed or an option there. Any how, i'm seeing dr ibrahim at city hospital we've booked an appointment for this Sunday. If anyone has had theirs can you let me know what to expect. Im assuming its measurements of the LO just to make sure He/she is growing fine??? Xx

Hi ladies, hope you are all well. My bump is managing to find the most uncomfortable positions to get into and then refusing to move, looking forward to when it is so tight in there it can't move around so much! :-) is anyone going to the bumps and babes coffee morning next thurs (30th)? I will be there with my 2.5yr old in the pram if anyone wants to say hi?! Not sure how long I will be able to stay though as it will depend on how long he will sit still!

She kicks after everytime i finish eating, as if saying "thanks!" lol BellaUK - you are so organised! i have bought nothing!!! went to the mall last night and there were lots of cute little clothes, i really dont know how i resisted the urge to buy them all hahaha Also good luck in the UK hopefully their follow up will be a lot better than here. I got a 3D scan two days ago and managed to see our little princess' face, she already looks just like DH lol its amazing! we couldnt believe it. I wish you all a very prosperous new year!!!

I am getting more and more movement each day too, and finally my hubby was around at the right time to feel while she was bouncing all over the place. She seems to like chocolate and pizza a lot, haha! I have probably bought all of the clothes I will need now (I will just have to tell people not to buy clothes as gifts!) All the big stuff like my pram, car seat etc I will buy in the UK when I head home next month. I have ordered loads online to our house in the UK to, so it will be like a second Christmas opening all the parcels when I get home! :) Will tackle the nursery next month, I have ordered some beautiful bedding from the US so just the need the furniture and a bit of paint and DIY work and all will be sorted. Decided to give birth here in AD at Corniche Hospital, it's just less hassle and it's a great hospital and they have a good ICU and paediatric team who can assess her kidney after birth and see what's what, just not as fancy unfortunately. I have received 2 different diagnosis now and they won't be able to tell for sure what the problem is until after birth so after the initial basic stuff here I will head back to the UK to GOSH for proper follow up as I have not felt 100% about any of the pediatric urologists I have met here. I have been piling on the weight the last few weeks, it's like my appetite is finally catching up, I'm going to be the size of a house at this rate as I am just not making good food choices either *sigh* As of my last scan she was already measuring/weighing a week ahead based on my dates, eeek, I hope it's just a growth spurt and she won't carry on at that rate! Hope everyone is doing well. Xx

Am I the only one having a boy?? Lucky him he sure will be well surrounded! Due April 1st (no jokes...) with the lovely Dr Skorski at Zahra... Problem-free pregnancy so far and all shopping done: ridiculously expensive baby-stuff so had to be creative but very happy with the results! 100 days to go...let the double digit countdown begin!

Hi Ladies! its been a while, been busy busy! BellaUK, here is praying and wishing that everything will be ok with your little princess. I also had my 20 week scan and all came out ok. i can feel her kicking me now, specially after i have something to eat or when i go to bed, but every time DH tries to feel her, she just stops! so naughty already haha! has anybody else apart from BellaUK started their shopping yet? i havent bought a single thing, but have looked at different stuff, just wanna buy everything in the shop then get annoyed because i cant decide on what to get and just leave lol hormones, hey!? hahaha Also, to all second time mum, what would you recommend not to buy, i mean, that you guys got or got given and didnt end up using at all. i just dont want to get to much that i might never use. Specially with UAE prices for baby stuff, its crazy! hope you are doing well, and please keep us updated. P.S - She just kicked me in the bladder for the first time and sent me running to the toilet, i seriously dont know how i made it on time hahahaha!!! Naughty, naughty!!!!

We are also team PINK! All my shopping self control that I had prepared myself with has gone completely out of the window, I can't even walk past a shop and not buy something! I am going to be in serious trouble if they have made a mistake on the scan, lol! Definitely starting to feel more real now as I am getting lots more movement, but I have an anterior placenta so it is only really at the sides of my bump that I can feel it. Can't believe I have hit the 20 week mark already, it seems to be flying by! We didn't get the best news at our 20 week scan as there is a problem with baby's kidney, which may resolve itself in utero or after birth (crossing everything that it does!), may need surgery or may mean she will only have one kidney, but there are worse things and it could have been a lot worse so I am just thankful for that. Hope everyone else's scan went well. Is anyone going to the Baby Bazaar in Dec? Was planning on popping up to Dubai to go so if any other ladies are going , might be a good time to meet up over a tea/coffee (or at least a cake!) :) Hoping all goes well with your little one and her kidneys, Bellauk. We had our scan yesterday and it is def nerve wracking waiting to hear the results. Wishing you all the best. edited by caligurl on 08/12/2013 Wow, everyone is having a girl, cool! Team PINK it is! I am totally up for meeting at this Baby Bazaar, though I haven't heard of it. Cake sounds amazing. Sorry to hear about your scan dear. You are right to be optimistic though, it could be a lot worse. Our scan is this Saturday… fingers and toes crossed. Xx

Wow, another one for Team Pink here too! Sounds like there's going to be lots of beautiful baby girls this April (: Went for 20 week scan yesterday and all looks well accept they found a rather large fibroid on my uterus. Anyone else have any experience with fibroids? They said it shouldn't affect the baby but we need to keep an eye on it. I haven't gone crazy shopping as we were hoping to get some good deals during DSF. Does anyone know if it's worth the wait? Take care (:

Hello Ladies!!! hope all of you are doing well! just to report back, i still havent felt any movement yet :( maybe because is my first? :s Well, we found out what it is a few weeks back. It was too hard to resist not knowing, plus we would have known anyway as SHE was just showing non-stop, not shy at all this one!!! Ha! :) Have any of you found out too? Good luck to all of you on the 20 week scan for those who haven't had it yet and i hope everything went well for those who have had it. I got mine on Sunday and im a bit nervous tbh as it is also hubbies bday, so praying here that everything will be alright! xx Congrats on your baby girl! I am also having a girl. I'm 20 weeks now and I get the scan done on the 14th on December, so a couple weeks left to wait. Good luck on yours! I'm feeling her move a little bit but nothing sharp or pronounced. More like a rolling feeling around 7:30 or 8pm. Can't wait to start feeling her more! I'm getting headaches every time I try to sleep on my left side. It's horrible as I know that's the side I should be sleeping on. Super annoying. I went to the chiropractor but it didn't help. Sigh. Xx

Hello Mrs DB Yes pregnancy is going well so far (touch wood). Just starting to feel some movement these last couple of days so its quite exciting now. my little boy is already two mornings a week at nursery and I will be increasing that next year as I become more unable to chase him! :-) Doctor has told me to avoid sugar to try to make sure this baby isn't as big as my last, that would be fine normally as I don't have a sweet tooth but my pregnancy craving is sugar....typical!

Hi Ladies, hope you are feeling well. I am due sometime in the first week of April. The doctors keep changing the date but I have decided to go with Dr Yamini at Al Zahra hospital and she seems to think it is due 3rd April so we will go for that, though an April fools day birthday is still possible:-) I also have a two year old son so am starting to get a bit nervous about having two children, especially as my son is a very fast runner and I am already struggling to chase him! Would love to meet up with some other mums to be and have been desperately trying to get to the bumps and babes coffee mornings at marina or dubai mall. The issue is if I come to the marina mall one on Thursdays I have to bring my son and so I only get to stay as long as he will sit in the pram (maybe half an hour if I am lucky) so if any of you go to that coffee morning and see me there with my two year old in the pram please come and say hi! I will also try to get to the dubai mall one but it is a long way to drive from JBR and I have to be back by 12 to pick up my son on Mondays so it will be a bit of a rush but I will try to get there one week even if only for 45mins! Hope to meet some of you soon. Hiya wwake, My baby is due 3rd April too and i will be switching to al zahra hospital soon too. I totally understand what u mean about baby group and prams, my daughter is 15 months now and she wouldn't sit in a buggy for 5 mins now. I was so nervous about having two too but ive enrolled my 15minth old into a nursery now were im hoping she'll learn how to interact and bond with other children. She also needs to learn its not always about her, shes a jealous one lol. Hows ur pregnancy so far? Can u frel any kicks? I feel loads :)

Hello Ladies, Hope everyone is keeping well and have started getting some kicks or I must say butterflies. Guys have few questions pls answer them or help if u can 1: Looking for a Sri Lankan Maid can anyone help me refer to one ? [b'>2: Maternity pants where can I find them ? [/b'> 3: Anyone meeting up on weekends please let me know I was thinking maybe we shld do a picnic in safa park ? As I have been on the hunt for maternity jeans, I can say that I finally found a decent selection in a variety of sizes and cuts at Destination Maternity in Mirdiff City Centre and Marina Mall. They also have a shop in Dubai Mall but haven't been to that one yet.Their own brand of jeans start at 129aed and go up from there depending on designer. Right now there is a promotion if you buy 3 pieces, the fourth is free. They have really nice tops and dresses too! Other places I've found a small selection of maternity clothes is H&M, Max, Mothercare, mamas & papas. HTH (: edited by caligurl on 17/11/2013

So excited I found this thread. I'm due April 14th and moving to Dubai in January. I have a 17 month old daughter and will be staying at home when I move there being a full time mom. Nervous because I work full time as a nurse and it will be a huge change! Anyone live in the marina area and like to set up a future coffee or play date? I could really use the company!

Sounds great! I was looking in MOE, found a few things in H&M but none of them were my size :( my biggish bottom and thights and short legs are to blame for this hahaha To be honest, i was feeling great up to last week, i mean, i didnt really have any morning sickness apart from feeling tired all the time. However, my GynOb decided to change my vitamins and as soon i started taking them, i was sick! every single morning! until i relised it must have been the new vitamins. Started taking the old ones today, and feel great again and so glad it is over! :) It just shows you that no all vitamins suit everybody, hey!? Has anybody started craving anything yet? I just love grated carrots with lemon juice and salt. hmmm...... hahaha LOL, I have the exact same problem with H&M maternity jeans! They are all slim leg and look terrible on me not to mention they are really long! If anyone finds any boot cut maternity jeans anywhere please let me know (: I heard there is a maternity store in Marina Mall, will prob check out this weekend. Oddly enough I haven't had any odd cravings, but I can't stand to look at chocolate or coffee and I used to love both..(: take care

You should definitely go there now. They just added more styles! I go to the one in Mirdiff City Centre. Xx edited by Mmountainn on 12/11/2013

They are legging and more lounging pants for only 20-30 dhs. I found the H&M in MOE has a bigger selection though. Maybe someone can recommend a few other places? I'm 17 wks now and doc thinks I'm having a girl but wasnt 100% sure so we will prob find out in 3 weeks when I do my anomaly scan. I haven't felt the baby move, not sure what it's supposed to feel like, lol. best of luck
