i couldnt eat anything my first trimester- my second trimester i was totally vegetarian (am an avid meat lover, but couldn't even stand the sight/smell/thought of meat without gagging/vomiting). last trimester i ate krispy kreme donuts and pizza hut as that was literally all i could eat.
no strange cravings just a totally sudden and uncharacteristic meat aversion. thank god i can eat meat again (hubby was very nervous)
Mainly fruits: peaches, mandarins and sweet melon. Vashti is right: my mom craved for milk when she was pregnant with me. I hate it and I'm intolerant to it.
First child: white foods--milk, mashed potatoes, egg fried rice ... clam chowder. Shrimp fried rice. Normally I don't eat shrimp, but looking at the first scan I thought 'he looks like a little shrimp' and shortly after that we ordered a takeaway and I saw the shrimp fried rice and that was what I wanted. First son was allergic to cows milk, probably because he was exposed to so much of it. He never liked shrimp. Second son drank milk by the liter; we had to put him on skim.
Second child: orange juice. Bought liters of the stuff. He never liked it, but first born son drank it by the liter; we had to cut him off because he develope acidosis.
Conclusion: listen to your body when you are pregnant. It knows what it needs. Keep an eye on what the kids are drinking, though!
Potato sticks crisps drenched in hot sauce .Mangos
Potato sticks crisps... Drenched in hot sauce... That must be an acquired taste!?
Yup. I still crave for them even though i am in my 2nd trim
Nothing strange just buckets of sweet cinema popcorn. My mum on the other hand loved to eat chalk and the smell of burnt matches. My father had to sit stiking loads just to keep her happy. Must have been love.
