those d a r n mosquitoes are out and I'm getting attacked. For some reason even when I use the bug off spray stuff they still attack me and of course I must be allergic because I end up with welts.

Anyone have advice?

My pest control guy told me that Pif Paf no longer works on them so use Baygon instead. I sprayed the bedroom last night which is where they all hang around ready to bite me and I did not get bitten once last night so at the moment thumbs up for Baygon.

Just hideous creatures. I hate the reaction I get, always have antihistamines on stand-by.

I made a home-made version because the bought mozzie sprays are full of horrible chemicals. Just mix one and a quarter cups of surgical spirits with two tablespoons of euculyptus oil, shake well and apply sparingly. Re-apply after a few hours. I sat out on Friday evening for 4 hours and never got bitten. You can use lavender oil or tea tree oil as well.

I was only in the yard for a few minutes making sure the new playset was being put in the right location and now have about 10 bites on the legs. Some have blistered which makes me concerned.

We've had loads of mosquitos in our house over the last few days. On wed night there were about 10 in the living room and I spent about an hour chasing them all down and squashing them. I've never seen so many before in the house. I've stocked up on vape mats and sprays as I've tried the citronella candles and they did not seem to make much difference. Dd gets a bad reaction to them too. I wonder what's causing the big increase in numbers this year?

I use an essential oil mix of lemongrass (or citronella) and clove, 10 drops each diluted with 20ml of carrier oil (jojoba is good); apply to exposed skin. On balconies/terraces I burn a citronella cancle.

You could use citronella either as a candle or as a spray. The spray is quite refreshing as well. You could keep it in the fridge between uses so 2 uses in one!

I had this problem last year, someone advised taking Vitamin B which I did every day. It seemed to work for me but it takes around three weeks to kick in.

oh i have had allergic reactions to them since ive been pregnant. One even bit me right by my eye, which was not a good look. I use plug in things they seem to help, also my mum brought me this cloth thing u can tie it round ure wrist, or i normally hang in near my bed at night and then i dont get bitten at all.
