Dollymud, I have loads of sleep books. Ranging from Dr Ferber to Dr Sears and everything inbetween. You're more then welcome to borrow them. Second time round I've decided to relax and ignore the books and do what I FEEL is right. DS 1 who's 3 still wakes up at night, DS 2 just did 12 straight hours last night, had a feed and thn did another 2 hours... Every child is different and should be treated according to what you FEEL would suit them. My 2 fils worth. Lol. Shout If u want the books.

Sorry to hijack this but while we are talking books, what's a good recommendation for a sleep book , my 3 rd is due soon ,and I'm a bit rusty ( my other 2 children are 16 and 8 1/2 ) and besides I was never very successful with them anyway my DS was 2 1/2 when he slept through :(. And I really can't do the sleepless nights thing for that long at my age! I'm reading Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Marc Weissbluth. It makes a lot of sense to me.

I really liked Annabel Karmel's Complete First Year Planner. Like the advice on wening, what kinds of games to play, what to expect month by month. I also really liked getting weekly, then monthly e-mails from babycentre.co.uk and being able to look up queries on the site.

what to expect when your expecting: first year That was my baby bible - an invaluable resource. Another good book was The Baby Book by Dr. Sears. I personally was not impressed with Baby Love, prefer the WTE books much more.

I loved Robin Barker's book too as a go-to manual for just about anything that comes up in those first months. And also all of the Dr Sears books...my favourites are "The Baby Book" and "The Discpline Book".
