Hi, we are about 6 weeks away from ending our JBR nightmare and have been looking at the Marina.

We looked at MAG218 which looks like a very good building, and the apartments are very high spec and spacious. Only prob is it's just slightly out of the Marina. DH thinks we should look at the ones above Spinneys, but not sure what they are called.

Also be interesting to hear from anyone who lives / lived there

I just moved to Mesk and am loving it. But I would have to leave in october cos my company decided to pay for my accommodation and lower my pay which isn't too bad because they didn't deduct much so i said yes. Will be moving to tecom. Anyway, it's a nice place to live in. I will miss my frequent sushi fix at itsu! :(

@sarahkay686 - you are entitled to your opinion of JBR but I, and actually lots of other people, will disagree with you. It is not a dump by any stretch of the imagination and is no worse condition than a lot of other areas. I presume that you have lived in JBR at some time and were not happy for whatever reason, but in view of the number of apartments that there are, I tend to think you are in the minority and many people have lived here for quite some time. Nowhere is perfect but hope you are happy with where you are now living.

JBR isn't necessarily a nightmare. We have lived here for three years and just signed for a fourth. We love living here. You just need to choose your building carefully. Great amenities on the doorstep.

Officially called Dubai Marina Towers, but everyone just calls them 'the first six towers'. They're individually called Murjan, Mass, Fairooz, Yass, Mesk, and Anbar. We lived in Yass for a year and were very happy with it. We were in Al Mass for a while............loved it!! Great location, so much within walking distance, lovely pools. Not the cheapest though............you get what you pay for.

i used to live there and i think they were called the emaarr 6 towers, i never really knew the name of the complex, i lived in mesk, and i am sad we ever moved away from them living there was really nice, each building has its own pool, awesome security/concierge, the gyms are great, and you get a discount at anasanga spa. we moved because of financial trouble, but now want to get back to the marina asap, and as close to that area as possible, i loved it, we are going to look into torch tower next, its right next door, i have a feeling it may be hard to compare anything to living there.
