Is it a decent place to live with kids or is it turning into International City nr.2?

Thinking of moving to Ghoroob. I noticed a geant express coming up there. Has anything improved over the last year?

thanx dramaqn for replying. no facilities is a turn off ....Is it true that these 3 BHK sell out very fast? my friend is moving to Dubai only after 2 weeks. If its moving fast then i may have to ask her to fly in early to take a look since it fits her budget well.

no facilities in Ghoroob, but Mirdif City Centre and few parks are close by. IMO 3bdr are not big, so it would be a bit tight to fit 3 kids into that apartment. We also thought of moving there with 2 small kids (under 3), but even for us it was a bit small. The only benefits to Ghoroob is location, no 5% housing fee and no AC bills.

Does anyone have any input regarding the 3 BHK apartments in Ghoroob? I saw that the current rates are advertised as 85K ...Is it worth and is this negotiable or not? What about the common facilites like gym , pool , kids play area etc? Is it up and running? This is for my friends family with 3 kids under 10. They are keen on a 3 BHK under 90K and i guess this should fit the bill.TIA the area is still very much under construction, there will not be a pool or gym, no kids play are at the moment. I know rates are not negotiable, we have moved out 2 months ago, not much for the place it self but because of horrible neighbors. :(

Do any of you know how easy it is to lease a 3 bed apartment in Ghoroob please? Went to leasing office today and they said until the next block is released they can't show me a 3 bed apartment (just the showhome). Apparently when the block is released, the 3 beds go like hot cakes! Please reply and let me know your experience in securing a 3 bed apartment?

hi, there are lots of families with small kids living here, in Ghoroob. Hopefully they will remove the sandy areas and make small parks with grass between the buildings - as they have promised it a year ago...
