The big billboard sign at GV says it runs until March 3 but when the lights are still on at night and the big wheel is lit up and turning! Anyone know when it will close? Don't want to plan a trip only to find it closed if we do go again. Thanks

Thanks, we will try to go before it closes. DD loves it there for some reason - just looking around the stalls. I don't think it's so great myself as you can buy most of what's on display in other venues. I was suprised at how expensive the food kiosks were. We went to KFC and Krispy Kreme the last time and at least no one got ill! I have heard that prices are reduced towards the end so this might be the right time to go.

Ok, so I googled...and it's not just an amusement park....there's more to it, great. It talks about restaurants as well (so I'm assuming not just your typical amusement park food)...so what is the food like? Or should I trip advisor that................. Entrance fee is ten dirhams - The entertainer has coupons if you want to save AED10 on the 2nd person. There are little food stalls scattered all over the place - grilled corn on the cob is TEN feckin DIRHAMS. There's also a food court area - DH got food poisoning there but the rest of us did not. So he refuses to let us eat there anymore. I don't think I'd consider them anything special. So now we just eat before we get there. Some pavilions are nice - some are like as if they are out of Dragon Mart. The amusement park section is very small - crazy expensive rides. Go have a look-see! :) very sorry to hear about your husband's food poisoning - i suffered the same from there- will never go again. was ill for an entire week.

Ok thanks very much....we've driven past a few times and we always comment that it looks like a ghost town...so have never been interested. But I've heard it mentioned a bit lately...good to know what it's all about - thanks.

Food is nothing special and very expensive. We also eat at home and take snacks with us. The rides are also expensive.

As soon as I hit "add message"...I knew what was coming. I foolishly was sitting here at my laptop reading EW and having a cup of tea, feeling like I am actually conversating with people, that I got caught up in the moment and thought I'd "talk" to someone rather than use google........

They normally close up though if there's high winds or sand storms
