I think that the best place to buy cookware is Amazon. I buy everything in this market place. I start with such reviews as https://themybuy.com/best-stainless-steel-cookware/ and make the purchases of what I like.

Anyone know where would be the best place to buy Le Creuset pots? Directly from the Le Crueset France website, its' at least 30% cheaper than buying here & they have the full range.

Tavola shop seems like the perfect place to pickup some decent cookware. But when I was going through a few studies, they suggested using Iron cookware rather than ceramic. Any views on this ladies? I looked everywhere to buy cookware online but found a decent variety of ceramic ware at http://www.tavolashop.com/ae/cookware.html

I also like Calphalon, Analon and Circulon. Their coatings are tough and I find I use much less oil in my cooking. You can find them here at Crate and Barrel in MOE. Buy some wooden and/or silicon utensils as well so you don't dig into the coating......

So im thinking to buy which i can keep long time.which brand do u use? and what is ur review I use Tefal for most cooking, own Tefal 3 ply frying pans in two sizes, but also have an Ikea medium stainless steel saucepan with steel lid for making sugar syrups and sauces that need constant whisking, some big Korkmaz stainless steel (double ply base) round pans (about 10 cm high, 28 cm diameter) with stainless steel lids that I prefer to use for browning chicken. I use these most often.

I got cast iron pots from here http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/categories/series/14887/ Had them for couple years now, and I'm very happy and satisfied. Very good alternative to creuset pots. Especially price wise. I'm eying now the frying pan from the same series.

I don't use Le Creuset, but I know it's cast iron base, covered in enamel. These pots and their lids are very heavy, partly why I chose not to buy. I second Al Diyafa. Hi. Do you know if they sell Le Creuset? Hi, they sell Staub, which is similarly high quality.

I would like to know what is considered "good quality" cooking pots if some one is kind enough to explain it to me :) I use Tefal :s and the minute its scratched, i throw the pot! Its not practical or cheap! so i would rather spend now and save later! Also, health wise, I have young kids and would want to start cooking healthy as well TIA

I use Calphalon and Circulon. They are amazing and have lasted many, many parties cooking for large groups over the last 10 years. They also have a warranty so if the coating comes off, send it back and theyll send you a new one. Hi are these copper base ? where can i find these in dubai please?

Hi Ladies , can some one recommend whether anodized or stainless steel is healthy and long lasting.I need to change all my nonstick pans and would like to know the suggestion.i recently checked tefel annodized and also they had in stainless steel.can some one please suggest which is good or any other brand.thank you I would go cast iron (with enamel coating) or copper. They are expensive but I don't trust the others. I think stainless steel is okay - it has been around for years and years with no documented side effects. Thank u tru blu can u please let me know a brand as well and from where I can buy.thank u

My favourite brands for pots are: All-Clad (US stainless steel) Lagostina (Italian stainless steel) Mauviel (French copper or stainless steel) Galleries Lafayette and Crate & Barrel sell some of them or you can look online and get them shipped over. They're expensive brands but you might never need to replace them. Mine are five ply aluminium core but if I buy any more I am going to try and get five ply copper core or even just copper pots!

So, I went to Tavola in MOE today and had a look at their stainless steel pots. I'm not a big cook and don't know much about cookware, but I just about passed out at the over-2000 dirham price tag on a medium sized pot. Really? The same pot in their cheaper brand was going for over 700 dirhams. Am I missing something here? Desertdoc, the exact same thing happened to me over the weekend at the MCC branch...LOL...my eyes popped when i saw the price tag 2400dhs for a small stainless pot. When i finally managed to get my eyes and brains back to where they belong, i noticed the tag said 2400 for a 4pc set. But still too pricey for me, considering I'm not an everyday "cook at home" person. Anyone know what prices to expect at the hotel supplies stores in Al Quoz? Planning to make a trip this weekend. Will not bother if the prices are similar to Tavola

HoF ship to the UAE. I was looking into last year as I was gifted an Arthur Price cutlery set as a wedding present and was looking at having it shipped over. eeeek thanks for the info - not sure if I should have found that out! I presume you don't pay VAT at all then, but possibly a huge shipping cost on something like pots and pans if it's weight based. Worth doing some sums though considiering how expensive decent pans are in Dubai.

just a shame you can't buy them in the UK and bring them back and claim the VAT back - I need new pans too and was musing this in House of Fraser's kitchen section (yummy) and another fantastic shop in Guildford the other day, but don't think my baggage allowance would cover it lol

I brought new pans last year, and also nearly fainted when I saw some of the price tags. I ended up at Waitrose Dubai Mall and got a great set of John Lewis pans. (as previous poster has suggested, they are worth checking out, nice pots, at nice prices!)

what about Waitrose in Dubai Mall - they have a big kitchenware section. I was thinking of this thread when I was wandering round my old Waitrose in Ringwood yesterday lol
