Spinneys is the cheapest place to buy Crisco, but you can also buy it at Safestway. In a pinch, I have bought the Mazola veg shortening from C4 and Coop and it worked fine in pie crusts, my fake-out crescent rolls recipe, even buttercream (but the buttercream wasn't that bright white you get from Crisco).
