I have just yelled (no profanities) at our not so charming local clown (another story altogether), for playing ding dong ditch. Am I likely to get into trouble for this? A child from any nationality would get an earful but I am now feeling like I should not have pulled him up for it, in case I get into trouble for offending his sensitivities. Should I put on my big girl pants and just try to ignore, or is it better to nip it in the bud immediately???

Hopefully my monster face (thats what my kids call it) and angry voice might have sorted it :) Can only hope.

Ugh, how frustrating that would be to have to deal with on a regular basis. I would yell at the child too, regardless of their nationality. If you're not using profanity what could you get into trouble for? If it keeps up why not have your DH disconnect the doorbell. We did this when our youngest was an infant as people seemed to stop by and ring the bell just as soon as he'd gone to sleep. :)

I'd love to catch the little monsters who do this to us occasionally - trouble is you make a deal of it you run the risk that they could then target you all the more. You ignore it and hopefully they[b'>[/b'>do[b'>[/b'> go away and give it up if you don't rise to the bait!

Is that the same as "ring the bell and run away"? Sorry, no idea what reaction you can expect for having yelled at your local clown.
