I think you best bet is to become a regular with a particular stylist in a particular salon. At my salon (Yas in Souk Al Bahar) my stylist charges me 100aed for a curly blowdry for long hair - it's normally 150. But I go every 5 days or so, for the past year Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of that mad beauty emporium in one of the towers on SZR, absolutely crazy manic busy and rammed full, with about 20-30 staff...think it's either near the Rose Rayhaan or Towers Rotana? (yes I know they're on opposite sides of the road but I'm sure I was staying in one of these when I went to the salon). Anyway, it was 90aed for a blowdry of long hair The mad place you mentioned is Beauty Connection.

Evelyn in the salon in the Carlton Hotel in Deira is fabulous - great for colouring, cutting, blow dries, up-dos - she does everything and she does them well wt a reasonable price.

looads of salons in karama/satwa who would charge around 50 AED. Not glam like Jumeirah though ;)

Groupons and the like for blow drys are quite safe and you'll perhaps get it much cheaper than your budget even. I pay about AED40 per blowdry when I pay for bulk blow-dries, but my places are in old Dubai.

They do offer this service of course at Gladys salon but I think you pay a bit more. (I'm glad I'm not the only one who washes my own hair!)

I would be going in there straight after work, so prefer getting my hair washed at the saloon...

I use Gina at Gladys Salon and she charges 80dhs for long hair. I actually wash my hair myself at home and just go to the salon with it in a hair clip. I just hate it all taking so long! Same with nails. I would have them done more often if it didn't take so long! I wash mine at home too

below 100 aed preferably.. Do you have long or short hair? I have long hair with extensions in ( so its thick) and pay AED120 at Shima Salon in the Greens. They are that good that is can last up to 3 days I believe for shorter hair it is less Most of the cheaper places tend to be in old Dubai
