Anyone bought one here? Which brand is best and which to avoid? Does anyone even know what I'm talking about? LOL

It's like a small hand tool that you use to make very thin, noodle like cuts of veggies.

Thanks in advance!

I got one, well it's the second one! I got this one from Souq....disaster!! http://www.petersofkensington.com.au/Public/Betty-Bossi-Veggie-Twister.aspx ( very cheap but doesn't work at all) Then I bought this one http://www.amazon.com/GEFU-13460-Spirelli-Spiral-Slicer/dp/B0026RMEK4 The Gefu is like a pecil sharpner system, works very well nice for courgette spagetti. Don't know if they sell it here, maybe Tavola. I bought it in Holland 19 euro.

I haven't used a spiraliser so can't comment on that. I like the effect of a julienne peeler but I always manage to cut my fingers to pieces when I use it. Honestly it's like raking your hand over razor blades.

Spiraliser looks fancier. Taste is obviously the same. What the julienne peeler gives you is not very different to peeling strips with a potato peeler, except they are skinnier. I can't remember the brands, I think my juilenne peeler is victorinox? My spiraliser is like a giant double ended pencil sharpener and I find it a bit if a pain to use. The pricier spiralisers are probably easier but you'd want to use them a lot to justify the cost. That's a lot of zoodles! edited by kiwispiers on 18/05/2014
