The staff was so rude to me, as if I didnt "belong" there... Let people dressed a certain way have a free kid above the age limit, when I asked why mine was being charged was told very nastily, peering down at me, that's the rules"here" as if it is another planet. Why pay to get treated like that, if my kid didn't want to go I would have walked out, rather go to Dubai mall in any case. There's no people, the place hasn't been updated in years so since they increase price is there any justification? I don't know, and I'm not trying to slander anybody, not naming names come and find me but help us all if their 18 layers of makeup falls off into the fish!

Again why is it your business? Why do you need to ask? She was probably thinking the same. I'd be telling you to mind your own business. I did NOT ask about anybody else!! I simply said "she (referring to my own daughter!) needs to have a ticket?" You would basically defend anybody that isn't me, regardless of what they did, isn't that right, based on every reply you've ever given in response to anything I've written. Useless argument here. Cherpie; don't waste your energy, some people here get offended or defensive far too easily when it comes to local custom and religion. Or can turn anything into those arguments. I crossed that place off my list for outings this summer, based on your experience. Who'll said Silverset. Some women on here are beyond thought. Cherpie - hope you and your child find somewhere more enjoyable.

Neither my original post nor my interaction with the staff used the words "local" or "nationality". However, the person as an individual was rude and that's the point here.

You asked why YOUR child was being charged when a local child wasn't, assuming that it's all due to nationality. Even if that was the case, it's not for you to get involved in. That's all. Plus the slandering at the end of your first post. I don't defend anybody that is against you, I just haven't agreed with you. If you want to take that personal, go ahead.

First of all, it's not my business... I thought the "rules here" apply to everyone. I did not hear them asking for any special needs ticket. As far as my attitude, I was asking with a smile and in a joking tone, not accusatory. It wasn't until she was so rude to me that I was offended, she basically screamed at me as I was going into the entrance and she was still behind the counter... Rude in any nationality, sorry!! That's not slander, that's fact. And yea that was my other issue, I really thought it was boring and needs an update.

Three words springs to mind about the aquarium (I lived opposite for three years - rude staff and boring.

Cherpie, have you considered that perhaps the child was special needs? How do you know the reasons why another child taller than yours is going in free? And what is it your business anyway? From your post it shows you already assume that because you are not local you are treated with rudeness and assume you are a victim here. And then at the end you say you don't want to mention nationalities but you still manage to slander a person who has nothing to do with your issues. Not saying you went in being rude, but sometimes you get the attitude you give.

Probably not, but I also never had any problem there. My happiness aside I just noticed not everybody got treated the same.... Not taking it further but I just wont go there anymore.

I don't dress in a "certain" way but I never had issued there, it is not Dubai mall, they were too friendly, I didn't even pay. My son was at a school trip there but he missed a part , when I asked if I can take him in after his school left they were so friendly and told me it's fine & I don't have to pay I took my son another time & I didn't notice any discrimination. Instead of conplaining her you can go to a newspaper as it seems you are never happy with anything related to this place. There are strict rules against discrimination here and those rules are issued by the ruler

I don't mind "rules" but when rules are waived depending on how someone is dressed it does make it annoying,
