I have 6 guests coming and want to treat them to afternoon tea, as it's a birthday one of the days that happens to be on a public holiday.
I booked Park Hyatt, which is 220 dhs per couple including 2 non alcoholic drinks. It seems like a good deal. Are there any other similar deals or should I just stick with that one?

Hi, I am new to this forum. I dont know if still you are looking for Hotels for Afternoon Tea. I would like to suggest lockevent.com - a portal for celebrating events. You can find number of options for your celebrations & get quotes from all the Hotels in Dubai. I know this because, I have celebrated my son's 4th birthday by selecting Hotel & getting quotes through lockevent.com. Since budget is very important for us we should seek different Hotels & through lockevent.com it is very easy. This is what I feel. This has to be the worst recommendation on here, where the heck are you recommending me to have tea? And because of this I will avoid your company at all costs for future events!

Many places have vouchers in the Entertainer. If on a budget, that's where I start as most of the 5* places offer a nice afternoon tea (without the proper clotted cream though) :-)

Went to the One and Only Royal Mirage last year and it was lovely. 99 each, plenty to eat and a good choice of teas/coffee. Wow, I did One and Only years ago and it was 99 dhs back then, amazed it's still so reasonable. That might actually be the one. I remember they had some delicious homemade sweets with the tea....

Fortnum & Masons at Dubai Mall do afternoon tea. Here's a round up of afternoon tea from what's on Dubai magazine http://whatson.ae/dubai/knowledge/402/best-afternoon-tea-in-dubai/ Fortnum & Mason isn't cheap though, I have done it, although nice I don't want to spend that amount, as I am paying for 6 people.

The main question here is: Do any of these places do PROPER traditional clotted cream? Because when I had a Cream Tea at the Waldorf Astoria, they brought out a little dish of squirty cream - _ - and blueberry jam - _ - Not the traditional strawberry or raspberry. Reading this thread reminded me that we have a Waldorf afternoon tea BOGOF voucher from Time Out way back in March that's still going to be valid when the in laws come to visit. I knew I came on this forum for a reason! :biggrin: Ps. it says clotted cream on their online menu so it had better be!

I am going for the clotted cream, so they better ? Surprised Waldorf didn't have proper clotted cream, as so far I have not been disappointed.

The High Tea at the Farm is AED 210 per stand that can be shared by two... with one drink per person... They say it is to be shared by two but we had three to four people share one and just paid for the extra drinks... It was quite filling Sounds good, I would probably order one stand for 2, as they have big appetites ?

The afternoon tea at THE FARM Al Barari is also quite lovely... they don't serve alcoholic drinks at all (not licensed) but have a wide range of tea, juices, coffee, etc. It looks nice, alcohol isn't important. Do you remember the price?

I just did the afternoon tea at Al Qasr, and it was really lovely! 185 for scones, quiches, sandwiches, mini desserts, tea, coffee, and a smaller package of just scones and tea/coffee for 85.

DH has done the one at Aspen and she said it was lovely. The Atrium in The Westin has 3 entertainer vouchers for high tea. Might be worth looking at. Oops just noticed its for a public holiday therefore might not be able to use entertainer vouchers.
