Hi, does anyone know of any playgrounds with baby swings in Dubai? I moved here a few weeks ago with an 11-month old and have been surprised to find only swings designed for older kids, despite having visited several parks and play areas!

This has been a puzzle for me too!! Must add though, that I discovered the ones in Mushrif Park a couple of weeks ago, but didn't hang around for long...ohmygoodness it was the dirtiest, most filthiest children's play area I have ever come across..it was a Saturday so I am guessing the locals had had their usual Friday fun there and what a mess they left it in..discarded chicken bones, corn cobs, dirty tissues, empty water bottles and drinks cans, fast food packaging...what a terribly ungrateful and disrespectful lot they are. It wasn't confined just to the floor either there was rubbish strewn all over the climbing frames so of course we had to leave it was hazardous to my little one.

LeicsExpat, can you give directions please? detailed edited by nams_new on 04/12/2012 Hi. It's next to jumeirah beach hotel right opposite the beach. If you ask a taxi to take you there, they know where it is. It's off umm sequeim road. More detailed directions. Take umm seqeim road south towards madinat jumeirah. Then join the jumeirah beach road. Go past jumeirah beach hotel and wild wadi on your left then turn next left so that you've got the beach on your left. It's a couple hundred yards down on the right. Sunday to Thursday is women and children only. Really nice. Hope you find it ok

OMG - can you imagine how many deaths there would be with the maids putting the kids in them...... or the parents driving the kids there unbuckled?

We used to live in Jumeirah Islands and there are definitely a couple in the playgrounds there, as well as older swings. It is only meant to be for residents though. They have one at the Hatta Fort Hotel playground, but that is quite a way to go for a swing!
