Ahh. Thanks ladies. Great to hear the true timelines. Can I also ask. Would they transfer my residence visa to my new passport? And is there a cost? edited by Diamante on 09/05/2015 They don't transfer it. I have 2 passports. The current and the expired one. My employment visa is in my expired passport and will stay there until my employment visa expires. I have to carry both passports I hope this makes sense

Sent two passports for renewal the end of March.....didn't want to leave it too late just incase. But two new and two old all arrived on the same day in just 11 days back to us. Sent another passport 14 days ago today and hoping on the basis of the last two sent that this one will be returned sometime this week to.

Hi ladies, On the link it says 6 weeks though. I'm concerned as I can't wait that long: https://www.gov.uk/overseas-passports/y/united-arab-emirates/renewing_new/adult Also. Is there anywhere I can get photo booth photos done here? Mine too 11 working days last month I think 6 weeks is a guideline

for the kids renewal of passports do I need to get the photos signed at the back, or can I just send the form with photos and old passports Under 11 I have to be countersigned On the www.gov.uk site it says the counter signatory must have known the person for at least 2 years. Be a friend or a neighbour but they can't be a relative or someone that lives with them It's all on the site if you Google edited by sarahlou123 on 09/05/2015 edited by sarahlou123 on 09/05/2015

Did both of my boys passports at the beginning of April. Took 18 days from leaving here to getting all 4 passports back. Good service at the moment.

I did it 3 weeks ago, took 2 weeks from application to receiving new and old one back. That being said, the closer it gets to summer, the longer I imagine it will take.
