Hi ladies :)

Has anyone done the Cambridge Diet before?

How much weight did you lose and how long did it take?
Did you manage to take it off?

I'm in between 5'3 - 5'4 and over the past few months have gained a lot of weight making me around 71 kg with a BMI of nearly 27!!!!!! In a dream world I'd like to lose around 10kg but realistically I'd be happy loosing around 8.

But I just wanted to hear the thoughts of anyone who has been on it before?

Thanks!

Just start eating baxter's soups. They are cheap and really yummy and have the same amount of calories as those Cambridge diet shakes.

Check out myfitnesspal.com (It's free) I've lost 4kg's in just over 3 weeks without following any kind of diet. Just by being more aware of what I'm eating. I do this too and have lost 3kg so far! ( 3 weeks) Cambridge diet is extreme and the food is awful. I know people that keeled over they were that hungry. Everything in moderation 1200 calories and exercise itll drop off!

I know of someone who was in hospital for a few days after being on the cambridge diet for some time. I dont know if he did something wrong but it put me off from trying it...

I started the Cambridge Diet on April 1st weighing 9 stone I now weigh 8 stone yay. The shakes and soups are really yummy. This diet really works for me I’m really busy all day so I can just take the shakes out with me and they really fill you up.

I would say Nay, especially if you 'only' need to lose 10kgs. It isn't real food and it tastes awful, also eventhough you'll lose the weight you will end up putting it back on once you stop using it. Rather go low-carb/ more healthy for a longer period and lose it more slowly, but more permanently. Also if possible, increase the amount of exercise you're getting. Good luck!!!

Check out myfitnesspal.com (It's free) I've lost 4kg's in just over 3 weeks without following any kind of diet. Just by being more aware of what I'm eating. I love this too - I've lost 7lbs so far. You can also download a free app for it too and use your Iphone/ Blackberry when out and about. Doesn't work with my older blackberry sadly.
