Cool Ideas for New Years?

We have my younger brother (34) and his girlfriend coming on the 30th. I am already stressing about where to take them so they have an incredible and memorable Dubai New Years Eve. We have 3 little kids but I think I have a babysitter so we could do something childless. I had hoped Dubai drums would have an event like they used to (this would be memorable...drumming under the stars) but I think they got shut down for dancing.

Any ideas??

Why don't you just take a night-time picnic to the beach and watch the fireworks at Burj Al Arab? Low cost, heaps of fun, great atmosphere. :)

I don't think we have any friends camping unfortunately....don't want to do the hotel thing either if it can be avoided. There must be something to do?!

Did I hear that Coldplay are playing on NYE in AD?! Exciting. Sabrina, I guess you usually go prepared, it is BALTIC, you will need a LOT of wood for the campfire and loads and loads of layers, blankets, duvets etc. 8 degrees last year in the desert for NYE. *praying DH doesn't suggest it again* :D edited by Maisak Shonlist on 21/11/2011

We usually go camping in the desert with a big group of friends. Its definitly the cheapest option, and no one has to worry about how they are going to get home.....we love it! I think all the hotels' events are just a rip off!
