Angelina he has work until 20 march ironically the bid they are working on is keeping them all busy sadly after that they have nothing hence he will be redundant! am sure he would prefer to be flat out on the sofa ;)

thanks girls passing it all on, ironically he is flat at at work at the moment so may take a few days to respond! Something very very wrong with that statement...... Put on notice never ever equals flat out - unless it's flat out on the sofa with feet up!!!

he is looking everywhere, but his biggest problem is that he has an HND not a degree, even though he has experience in South Africa, Qatar, here and UK about 30 years worth!

Have you considered looking for a job in Qatar? Heard the job market there is thriving.

my hubby is in the same job as your hubby and his company is always interested at looking at cv's, they are not actively hiring as such but you never know. If you email me his CV I will pass it to the company. edit to remove email, let me know if you didnt get it northernstar edited by Purple on 30/01/2012

I've just received a load of positions from one of my Clients in Qatar. If you want to send me his CV, let me know. Sorry, scrap that! They've just informed me it's subject to Qatarization. edited by coffee_mate on 30/01/2012

Try these guys - there seem to know what they are doing, although, recruitment people are like estate agents in this town - so the very best of luck - http://www.engageselection.com/index.php?id=5&menu=5

So sorry to hear this. I don't know anything about the construction business but i do know what you guys are going through as we;re going through it too. I've heard there is more going on in places like Abu Dhabi and Qatar than in Dubai. So focus on these areas perhaps. I really wish you all the best in finding a new job.
