Hi,

Thinking of going to Paris, Disneyland in the summer, only for 3 days.

Anyone got any recommendations for any hotels? Would like to be in the Disney Park.

Also from experience is 3 days enough? Kids are age 7, 4 and 3.

Going to book it at the weekend through travel agent here in Dubai - do you know if it works out cheaper booking from England or just as cheap from here??

Thanks a lot!
G

Hi I have been to both! Paris we enjoyed with our 3 year old, she had a great time. We arrived on Eurostar around lunch time checked into our hotel Raddison where we booked a 1 bed suite which was very big great for two seperate sleeping areas, large double bed in the sofa in the lounge section. then off to the smaller park for the afternoon, coulndt believe our luck Mickey was right there with a Q of only 10minutes, my dd loved it got a great pix and had a wander round for a few hours. Second day went to the main park for opening time had lunch cafe mickey booked inadvance food was fine - huge if Iremember! Where you meet the others Goofy, Chip n Dale, Minnie, Mickey ect. We found there were still quite a few rides for her age range and Q's weren't too bad best was the Buzz lightyear ride :) Best thing I did was to print off the park maps b4 we went and mark the rides places we wanted to do so we had a plan b4 we got there. The size of the park was plenty big enough for me I was pregnant with my ds at the time. Only bad thing was people smoking everywhere yuck! But we had a great time and I look fwd to going again when my ds is old enough and my dd cann go on the big rides with Daddy :) have a great time

I agree with Sleepy. I loved Eurodisney & so did my boys who were 4 & 6 yrs old at the time. I would recommend that you call Dnata 8008118 as they have some very good all inclusive packages to Euro disney. Have fun.

I disagree with the below actually, although I loved Florida and have been there a few times years ago I was SO happy with our Paris stay year before last - it was FANTASTIC !!! Yes Florida is amazing but it's just so big and with 2 little kids there would be so much to see and you need a car to go everywhere etc etc so we went to Paris and stayed in Disney for 5 nights which was perfect, at Sequoia Lodge which we loved. With little kids I found Paris Disney wonderful, everything is close, we could walk or just hop on the bus, we hardly queued, the loved the hotel and each pm we would go for a swim in the fab pool it was just wonderful and so easy to get around etc, we would love to go back. I found everyone very friendly, even when I attempted my very old French, I thought they would collapse in hysterics ! Loads of restaurants like Rainforest which they loved and we had lunch in the Cafe Mickey and saw so many characters, brilliant ! We spend early evenings cycling around the lake, it was buzzing and a great atmosphere, the kids were shattered every night :-) And we had one whole day in Paris away from Disney which was lovely. So go for it and have a lovely time ! BTW booking was easy, I just did thru their www and called them and they have lots of special offers on, we went on the train from UK which was great too, all very exciting :)

If you have ever been to disney in florida, then you will likely be disappointed by the one in paris. We have been to the one in florida many times and absolutely love it, so were really looking forward to the one in paris. We went last summer and my kids were bored out of their minds. It is much smaller, and we saw almost no princesses at all. We were also put off by the overall attitudes there. One day was more than enough for us, but if you have never been to the one in florida, then you won't have anything to compare. We went to 2 other parks in europe, europapark and phantasialand, both in germany, and we really loved phantasialand. It was much less expensive, few lines, and lots for the little kids to do. We spent 2 days at phantasialand. It wasn't huge, but had a really fun atmosphere. ditto!!! we did florida then the next year did paris and it doesnt compare. the kids really enjoyed paris but us adults thought the park was dirty, the people rude and the price of food ridiculus. florida was clean and the people go out there way to call yor DDS and DS princesses and princes. JMHO.

I've several times in Disneyland Paris and really enjoyed it. I cannot compare with the other Disney Parks since I've never been there. If you go to Paris and like parcs, you can go to Parc Asterix (30 kms from Paris), it's my favourite.

We stayed at sequoia (sp) Disney hotel twice now and loved it, loads of characters around the hotel and a very pleasant walk around the lake in the morning to the park. We have done florida and paris, and as much as we love florida, the paris site was nearly as good, and better for walking around as its not so big. We did both parks over 2 nights / 3 days. I think we actually saw more characters etc in Paris then we ever have in Florida. We booked Cafe Disney one night, which was great even though my niece didnt eat much as was too distracted by the characters. We can't wait to go back. My favourite time was during December, when it was all christmassy. The only downside, compared to florida is the weather and food (not to mention the wine!).

It could be that we were just sick of paris by the time we made it to disney. We found the people there very uptight and unfriendly. We stayed in paris and took the train to disney for the day. On the way there my daughter put her foot up on the seat in front of her and some guy started freaking out and yelling at her. We could not figure out what in the world was the problem, then a lady told my daughter to put her foot down because we were disgusting and french people don't do disgusting things like this. Seriously, we had no idea it was some cultural no-no, and would have been happy to put her feet down, but they really didn't need to humiliate us like this. I think that experience tainted the entire day, and we will never return again. That sounds awful! I do think that the characters at Disney Paris weren't as eager to please as their US counter parts, however when you stay in the Hotel you don't get exposed to all of what you experiencced above. We've been to LA, Florida and Paris. I would say LA and Paris were on a par with each other. We had a fantastic time! Another tip is not to eat at the fast food bars in the park as they are awful and expensive. We ate at Planet Hollywood which was still pricey but no more than what you would pay here. Friends of ours who went in the Easter Holidays before us went to the near by village to eat and said the food was delicious and much cheaper. We didn't have time in the three days to try it though. edited by starsouthern on 28/03/2011

We were in the Disney Hotel which I would recommend staying in especially if you're into the characters. edited by AdviceSeeker on 28/03/2011

If you mean three days and two night then I felt it wasn't long enough when we went. I went from London, and the first day we arrived in the afternoon, so only had a quick go at the parks then dinner/bed, the next day was a full day so we were trying to get as much in as possible as we knew we were leaving the next day, then on the last day we only got to go around the park until about 4pm as the train back to london was 7pm. I would have preferred to stay 3-5 nights. Its fantastic though, had such a great time.

We went last year for 3days, and stayed at the Disney Hotel. It was worth paying the extra money as you can walk to the park and come in and out as you please. Have a rest then go back again. All the characters come for autographs and picture opportunities. We had a fab time but thought it wasn't long enough. Our days were pretty packed up trying to fit everything in. My DS was six at the time and he loved it but was exhausted by the end of it.
