Hi All,

Has anyone else been having issues with the DU billing system?

I have not had a bill generated since December 2011. Also the amount showing for outstanding is extremely high, even for 3 months worth of calls. I have collegues who roam for weeks on end and dont even get bills this high! I wont pay this bill until i can see a full itemized bill and I've been calling them for 3 months and nothing has been done as yet!! Its like they dont want to be paid!

FRUSTRATION!!!

I tried to pay via Emirates NBD last month and it was not working. To be honest i then forgot about it and we were cut off yesterday. I do wish they would hurry up and introduce Direct Debit billing over here as we have never been late making a payment before for anything but this was just a case of tried/failed and then forgot about it. They will do it to your credit card then you don't need to give them a deposit either.

We have had exactly the same thing this week! Moved onto Du in November last year. Signed up to allow direct charge to our card each month. This has been taking place. Last week for some reason we get a text out of the blue saying " 1600 dhs amount owed by 23 March or u may be disconnected" and then a reminder. So I checked online and the online doesn't tally either. I was able to see the 3 bills with each item on it and the payment that was made each month ( about 800 dhs) however the last bill generated did not show the last amount paid so had a total due of about 1600 dhs. ( Are you still with me?) whereas the outstanding amount elsewhere online was only about 800 dhs! Called them and they said it was all a glitch and they did have our card logged and they were charging it each month and to ignore the texts! So HOPEFULLY I won't lose service on 23 March! Yes, sign up and you can see every call made!

You can sign up for SMS bills. I am the opposite to you ladies. I get 20 emails or so from them reminding me to pay and a dozen SmS's. I have never once in 2 years been late paying my bill. i had to text my email address 5150 to set this up :-)

i've heard about that happening to alot of people. Guess i'll be waiting for my TV etc. to go off soon then :-P

Thanks for the reply. Im already signed up with Self care and been checking the site every other day and its still showing my old bill from last year. Seems no one there knows whats going on!! What a nuisance for you. Be careful, if you've got the broadband/net/telly deal with them, they can cut you off without warning when they discover you haven't paid - they did it to us our first month here because we were a day late paying the bill, which, of course, we hadn't received..

Sign up for the Du self care system and get them to send you monthly email reminders to check the bill. At least that way you can see your bills and keep track. https://selfcare.du.ae/selfcare-portal-web/nonLoggedInSelfcare.portal Can't help you with the high cost, I find Du charges outrageous, they tell you one thing when you sign up with them and when you actually get the bill, it costs an enormous amount more for extremely plausible reasons they happened not to mention when selling you the plan.
