Wish I could tell you the name...he's one of the Indian tailors in a wee shop off the main drag. I think nearly any of them could do the work. Dh said he has the guy's name in our car...which happens today to be at the shop, as he was rear-ended this week. Go figure. But it was an alleyway just across from where the post office is in Satwa. I'm sorry, wish I could be more specific. We should have the car back tomorrow, and I'll get back to you when I can see the guy's business card.

That's not bad at all! I really like the texture of these covers but I just want them a different colour, so maybe I'll go and see if this guy has anything suitable. Which place did you go to in Satwa?

I have not, but we recently took cushion covers off chair cushions and took the covers to a Satwa tailor to be copied in a different fabric and color. He did 4 chair cushions and lined a pair of large curtains (for a bedroom) for 300AED, including cost of fabric and notions. They were basic chairs and we chose a basic fabric, but thought this was a pretty good deal.

I am hoping to dye our Ikea cotton sofa covers... if I'm brave enough! Has anyone else successfully done this? I was thinking of using a shedload of Dylon machine dye.
