who else has sufference from useless customer service at Etisalat? After one month of their incompetence i am still at square one, with their officers telling me it is crystal clear that my line is ready but they cannot switch the status and activate it/. Does no one have the ability to resolve their own mistakes? NEVER EVER USE THEM if you have the option to go with DU

Can you buy dongles to use? The type that several laptops can be wireless connected too. Are they very expensive to use? DH will not survive without the internet at home either. Gee he might have to stop working 24/7 - rolleyes.

Oh no this is more than a concern. I run an internet business form home. How am I going to manage that without the internet for weeks - eek! Are they just this hopeless with villas or just as bad with apartment blocks? I will have to go and camp out at DH's office if this is the case. same with my OH, he had to do a lot of work from the Pavilion in Downtown to make use of their internet.

After recieving our first E-life bill 5 months ago and realising we'd been charged the wrong amount, put on the wrong account package and a few service issues I have made numerous calls, e-mails and visits and got nowhere. Always told it's with a different department that they can't forward me to or give a name for me to speak to. It's Russian roulette I think. If it goes well, you're fine but if one it does go wrong; it's a massacre.

We have been waiting for almost two months to have our tv, landline, and Internet connected with Etisalat. My DH goes to their main office at least once a week to complain to no avail. I'm not sure what to do. keep going back and showing your face.. talk to the top manager.... is there fibre optic cables there?

DU are like that. If you 'tweet' them, they suddenly come to the rescue. Public humiliation seems to work a treat - shame it has to get to that. That works well for Etisalat too --- I always see on the Etislat Twitter page how quick they are to respond to customer complaints there Arent the 2 owned by the same entity? Partially yes. So it's ridiculous really.

Totally agree... We waited 6 weeks after moving for them to come and sort out our internet connection - including three painfully long visits to head office that came to nothing. We only got it sorted in the end as we saw a team working next door and got them to call through to head office - they came back the next day and did ours. Never experienced such frustratingly bad customer service - and I thought BT in the UK was bad...!

I went through a lot of bad customer service from Etisalat, for a really long time. Then one day I was seriously annoyed and posted a message on their Facebook wall - making this clear. The problem was instantly resolved!! I even got a call-back... asking me to rate my satisfaction with their customer service =P You should definitely give it a try.

just been through the etisalat pain as moved to a villa where they are the only provider. took them THREE weeks to connect our internet. the only solution is to actually go into their offices. daily if necessary. Noooooo! Your kidding. DH has to go and arrange for ours to be moved over today. Any advise to move them along a bit? I was told for starters he needs the lease agreement and passport. What do you have to do to settle your old bill? Is it a quick job or do you have to wait a few days like DEWA final bill. Thanks rental contract, passport, we never went anywhere without the landlord's passport copy and title deed etc.. it was hideous to be honest, after each appt/visit to their office (and there were A LOT!)they said we were in the system, then we weren't when we went back in, it went on and on and on. the only small positive is that the etisalat building at the Murooj rotana is only a five minute drive from satwa...

They're both as bad as each other IMHO. It really is about time the TRA opened up the market to allow other international providers in to show them how it's done. Those two companies would go bust overnight.

In Dubai, when it comes to telecommunication provider for home services, it's generally either Etisalat OR Du and both are equally bad at resolving issues and have absolutely horrendous customer service. Like kelly1814 said, the only way to get things done through them is to be persistent and in person - email and telephone communication is ineffectual
