Hi all. My husband and I will celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary here in Dubai this weekend. Only here a few weeks so I am looking for some suggestions on where to go for dinner? Somewhere v romantic, hopefully with a nice view (preferably by the sea) and great food! Husband cannot eat fish unfortunately. Thanks

Maya is delicious and romantic! http://www.richardsandoval.com/mayadubai/ I second Asado, the food is great, even though it's a steakhouse, I always have the lobster! DH has the tenderloin! Pai Thai is fantastic, best Thai food around. You must take a boat to get that, so I would say its a romantic night out. http://www.jumeirah.com/Hotels-and-Resorts/Destinations/Dubai/Madinat-Jumeirah/Restaurants--Nightlife/Signature-Dining/Pai-Thai/ Happy Anniversary

A few places come to mind: - the Italian restaurant at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel (can't recall its name right now) - great food and spectacular view of the Burj Al Arab; sit outside on the terrace. - La Pachanga, also the Jumeirah Beach Hotel (Argentinian food) on the 25th floor; latin food, again direct view of the Burj Al Arab - Asado (Argentinian restaurant) at The Palace Hotel in Burj Downdown with the most spectacular view of the Burj Khalifa/some fountain view as well; great food. If you go on a Sunday, you will see A. Tango dancing from about 9 pm onwards. - for romance: the EauZone restaurant at the Arabian Court of the One & Only Royal Mirage; sitting in beautiful garden setting around the pool and at the sea; some view of the Palm - great east/west fusion cooking. - another Italian: Il Secreto at the Madinat Jumeirah: beautiful garden/canal setting, super elegant and delicious food Wherever you go, wishing you a wonderful evening - and congratulations on your anniversary! edited by crystalsindubai on 02/10/2011

Le Relais de Entrecote (spelling may be dodgy), but you get view of the creek and the food was brilliant!

We did Bateaux dinner cruise, candle lights all over the place, glass walls and a great view of the creek, beautiful place, utterly romantic atmosphere! I think the food was very good, set menus with or without seafood, great desserts. It felt like we did something different, not the regular dinner in a hotel, i loved it:) Entertainer FD has Bateaux vouchers...

My DH and I celebrated our first anniversary here and went to MJ's Steakhouse. It was absolutely amazing..they even brought out a cake that said "Happy Anniversary." Very nice atmosphere...no view, but totally worth it! edited by rose0284 on 02/10/2011
