I was a huge GHD fan however my salon uses Cloud Nine. I treated myself to a pair and OMG these are so much better... :-)

the braun one also does no damage to ur hair and it uses ion to make ur hair extra shiny. plus u can adjust the temperature and even manage to make some waves with it if u want. the only problem for me is that i have wayy too long hair and it will take me ages. im not a very patient woman hehehe edited by MommyOficially on 04/08/2011

My DD has used GHD's and boots home brand, the latter were much cheaper and better finish with no hair damage.

DEFINITELY go for cloud 9's. I still have GHDs in working order, buy my sister bought me a pair of C9's for my birthday almost a year ago, and I absolutely love them, wouldn't use the GHDs anymore (although I've heard they've been improving them to compete with the C9's but they're still not as good) Tell me, what is SO GOOD about them? I am really really tempted to buy one.. but its really expensive! 700 for a straightener? WHat can it do that my babyliss straightener cant do? :) OK I don't know about babyliss, but I know compared to the GHD which is also about the same price they are better. What they do is give your hair a really sleek and shiny look, and it takes minutes to get perfectly straight hair...

Just broke mine, seen some on dubizzle for around 500 is that cheap? There are loads of fakes around (even being sold at some salons) so be careful......check out the (authentic) website for details of the authorized retailers here.

Maariya- I have one to sell if you are interested. Told DH to get me one when he was in the UK a couple of months ago so he got the Salon styler, thinking bigger is better! I have shoulder length hair so it doesn't suit me. I have only used it once. You can verify it's authenticity on the website and I can check if DH still has the receipt.

I use the bellezza titanium straighteners and I must say they are a million times better than the ghd. The titanium plates don't damage your hair and make it really shiny. I got mine from a stand in the battuta mall. Btw I do still have my ghd but never use them now as only use the bellezza ones. If you want them I can give them to u for 150

Go and get some cloud nine made by same people as ghd just as good....buy them here there's a distributor in Dubai just google ,also seen them for sale a hair works jbr...better then buying on dubbizzle. Definitely, mine broke about 6 weeks ago, my hairdresser recommended Cloud Nine's and they are amazing! Go for it, GHD's just aren't the same anymore.
