Thanks for the update Tala-Bala, I'm glad that you went to Feri, she really is so caring and great with hair. Sometimes she's been like a therapist for me while getting my hair done with all of our long chats about life, work, men! I've never been disappointed with her cuts or color and I'm very picky about my hair. She also goes out of her way for a good client and will always make time for you if you're in need of an emergency blow out for a party or something.

Juan Salon 04 4389570 They did pretty bad blone highlights (or rather chick-yellow), which i had to re-do later in another hair salon. But then, Juan himself only did the cut (nothing great either) and another stylist did the color. Overall-waste of DHS650. But still, most people seems to be really happy with his work. So maybe you really should book with Juan himself and no one else, if you decide to go there. Good luck:) You should have called Juan and gone back he would have done it for you himself. I only ever have Juan for cut and colour and have dine for the last 5 years. The great thing about Juan is it's his salon and his family are here so he's here for the longterm so many hairdressers here are here for a year and youre back to looking for a new one.

Just want to let everyone know that I saw Feri at Version Francaise and she was wonderful. She isn't cheap but so worth it! She fixed my colour and has put me on a hair repair regime - she was straight to the point and even though my hair is only on track to getting healthy, it looks a million times better. And when she was combing my hair and it all started breaking off, I started crying and she gave me a sincere hug. She is so lovely. Btw I ran into the hairdresser that destroyed my hair and I mentioned that not only did I have to spend so much towards fixing my hair, but that he had completely destroyed it, so he told me to come in for a deep conditioning treatment. I thought it was a nice gesture but he told me he was still going to charge me for the treatment! Whatever anyone does, DO NOT GO TO THE HAIRDRESSER AT SHERATON 4 POINTS ON SHEIKH ZAYAD ROAD!

Feri's number is 04 360 5360. She is Middle Eastern but did a lot of work and training in Germany. She really knows hair and is also a great person.

There used to be a fab Lebanese lady (Nadia I think) at Roots al Wasl. She did my hair for years.

Hush at Wafi or Dubai mall, all Lebanese hairdressers who know how to cut/dye both western and middle eastern type hair.

Very true! Dying and highlighting middle eastern hair into light colours can only be done by Lebanese, Iranians and Turks! I would try Feri like coffeegal suggested.

Go to Feri at Version Francaise in Dubai Marina. She's brillant and I think she speaks Farsi. It's an upscale salon with prices to match but your hair is one of the first things people see so well worth spending the money. Feri is really, really good.

I'm new in Dubai and went to a random hairdresser for a full head of blondey/caramel highlights - BIG MISTAKE! (I have long dark brown hair and I am from a Middle Eastern background) and they have completely destroyed my hair. The highlights are breaking and are white. I really need to get it fixed and am very upset. Does anyone know of a good hairdresser who can deal with Middle Eastern hair? Maybe Iranian or Lebanese....?
