My neighbor makes amazing cakes - for at least 25 - and it was only 200!

I tasted a cake from Lafayette Gourmet a couple of days ago and it was delicious. Custom-made, several tiers and pictures of TInkerbell on it. Not sure how much it cost though (lol).

Have you tried Lime Tree? Their cakes are to die for - best carrot cake in Dubai ! ...and definitely cheaper than Dhs 500! I had some at someone's house a few months ago and they had one cake for adults and one that was more kiddie friendly (with colorful decorations etc)

Another vote for Nuku. She does amazing cakes. Fantastic attention to detail and lovely tasting cake. Look for 'Nuku's Cakes and Cookies' on Facebook. edited by amelia on 06/01/2012

I just paid 400/- for a cake that would feed at least 20 children. I use Nukus cakes - you can find her on facebook - her decorating is second to none! And the cakes are delicious. I highly recommend her - look on her facebook page at her photos - her recent Christmas cookies were amazing!!
