exotoc/ wild animals escaping are nothing new. I also live in jumeriah and remember when a cheetah escaped about 3 years ago. They are usally caught. 2 years ago on the Palm a monkey came after me when I was walking on the beach. I was very frightened because I was 5 months pregnant and the animal was flashing me his teeth. We called the police and the houseboy insisted he was just being friendly. Monkeys smile! :D

It is a sign of agression when Anything shows its teeth! (including me, lol)

OMG, if that is true, it is beyond irresponsible. Sadly guinness some people seem to think keeping animals like this in their home is some sort of status symbol. surely it is though they hardly live in townhouses. their bathrooms are the size of a regular villa It's just wrong any way you look at it. Plus the teeth and claws are usually removed. Animals belong in the wild or in conservation parks, not people houses. Most locals I know with exotic pets have not removed the teeth or claws. I am absolutely petrified of lions Im seriously thinking about delaying my flight there until its found. Imagine bumping into a hungry lion on the beach or spinneys. Ahhh Well at least with your body fat you can keep it entertained for a while and give it something to chew on. ;) Huh? You said you were a size 10 on the other thread! LOL I am size 10. I think your confused. If the lion gets you first we will all be ok for a month LOL edited by tally-ho on 09/04/2011

From The Grauniad 27/3/11: Somali officials have intervened to save two three-month-old lion cubs smuggled on board a ship in the port of Berbera, Somalia. The brother and sister are believed to be rare Berbera lions. They were confiscated four weeks ago after Mogadishu's port manager told Bancroft, an organisation training African Union peacekeepers in the Somali capital, of his suspicions that[b'> the animals were being trafficked as pets[/b'>. The cubs, [b'>believed to have been destined for Dubai[/b'>, are now being cared for by Bancroft staff, who have suitable facilities and veterinary care because they provide teams of bomb-sniffing dogs. http://www.guardian.co.uk/global/2011/mar/27/rare-lion-cubs-rescued-traffickers-somalia Sickening. :(

Why has this not been on the news or radio? maybe it never happened. Because A no one has reported it, B it raises the whole - you shouldn't keep wild animals as pets issue. - Which you shouldn't, it's stupid. it always happens. they always get out and are found safely. no need for panic. No need for panic :\::\:

I'd have thought this was a wind up but 10 plus years ago I saw a cheetah walking down the road in Jumeriah 1 so I can believe it!
