Looking for friends (preferably women) in dubai (near battuta mall area) I have been here for three weeks and i work as a nanny.
Hi everybody,
I moved to Dubai 3 weeks ago to work as a nanny. I love my job but as I work alone, its is a slow process meeting new people. I am not looking for any relationships, just friendships only (to go to the cinema/bars/art gallery's/theater/events etc. I live in discovery gardens so it would be nice to meet people who live around this area. I would prefer (at first) to meet women friends as I seem to have been asked to make friends with a couple of guys in this area but they seem to have intentions quite different to mine! I plan on joining a couple of groups and i would like to have gone to the coffee mornings but unfortunately i am working when they are on so i wouldn't be able to make it. Any hints/tips would be greatly appreciated. I have joined a gym but i definitely wouldn't describe myself as a sporty type at all. I like watching bands and live music and doing more arty social things.
