Hi All, do you provide a mobile allowance to your maid?
we did provide her (new maid) and she finished it in 3 days and has no balance, she now has no balance to call us incase she needs something when she is alone with our baby. i have subtly mentioned to her not to use it up fully... any suggestions please

This always happens. They use their phone credit very quickly and then have nothing left. I give my maids credit at the beginning of each month for their personal use. I don't expect them to use it for work purposes. When they need to call me, they use my landline. [b'>You can get a block put on so your maid cannot call internationally.[/b'> However, you cannot get an itemized bill for calls made to local cell phones so you would just need to be aware of that. Yes you could do this. My home phone has a facility to only accept 04 numbers being dialled. You just block those with beginning with 00 and 05. Check the instructions on your phone. Also I just installed Whatsapp after the ladies on here told me how (it was so easy) and all smses are free to another person using Whatsapp. If you have wifi at home maybe she could this app to contact her family for free, so her credit won't run out as fast. Just a thought.

Why can't you just get a landline? She is going to be in a permanent state of no credit. Get used to it.
