I want to get my childrens names written in Arabic as a keepsake from our time in Dubai. I know there is a place in IBN Battuta Mall that does this but does anyone know of anywhere else I can get this done?

Kelly 1814 - or any of the lovely ladies who have received the info from her, can you send me the info on the man who does calligraphy on canvas? Or, if anyone else knows, I've been in awe of the calligraphy you see on the Dubai one call for prayer with all the buildings and flowers etc, it is absolutely beautiful, and I would love to have all of our family's names done on canvas or similar as a keepsake from Dubai. TIA!

I think Mercato Mall does it. Second floor near the foodcourt. I think its a great idea. May go and do it myself. Mercato Mall does lovely Arabic necklaces and cufflinks-haven't seen anything on canvas there

There is a gentleman who works in a small shop down in Bastakia by the museum, he is based behind the art gallery there and is down one of the wee streets. He does Arabic calligraphy and will do your name for 50 dhs although I only paid 30! It takes seconds so a nice wee earner for him! Good luck.

friends of ours had it done and they told us they went to the Souk part of the Madinat Jumeriah I got my one there. Expensive though I was $300 for 8 letters in white gold. My friend got one with 7 letters done somewhere in Karama and she was half that
